Re: Ascent: An Emilogue (Erotic Content)

I think it's perfectly okay to use English figures of speech when writing a story in English. If you restrict yourself not to use them, the story will feel bland, and if you use literally translated Japanese ones the vast majority of your readers will scratch their heads. Now of course that doesn't ...

Re: What If Katawa Shoujo Never Existed?

I wouldn't say KS has been a life-changing experience to me. For me it was a) a very well-written novel and b) it had a small but active community to participate in without getting drowned out. There are other novels that I enjoyed as much, but either there wasn't a community at all or it was someth...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180423 'Nomiya POV')

It seems even when the story first came out there wasn't much I had to say on it... I think Wiseman hit the nail on the head. This story picked the most uninteresting scenes to show, and while I'm not sure I would have liked to read a story about "the following year" the apology to Hisao and Rin wou...

Re: Operation Normal Social Interaction

Why does everybody just assume the story ENDS there and this is not just the first of several chapters? I have to say this story is very typical for Oddball with all the zany interactions - which is not a bad thing at all. SpAG is impeccable except for a few typos most of which have already been men...

Re: Trying Something New [Emi Fic]

I feel it does relate to the genre, but it could also relate to my writing,... Well, being a bit too wordy might have exacerbated the impression that nothing is really happening... It is part of the story proper, but I separated it for those who aren't into smut/pornographic writings, to make it ea...

I have no idea what this is supposed to be about. Neither the meme not the April Fool's joke.

Re: Trying Something New [Emi Fic]

I agree that there's nothing much wrong with SpaG, and the overall writing is also not bad... My main problem with this story is that it doesn't have a story to tell. It's basically: - generic scene of Hisao and Emi running - generic smut scene - generic festival scene - generic Rin scene - another ...

Re: Unforeseen Consequences Continuum

That's called character perspective. I know full well its a tartan, Hanako doesn't. Uhm... That was not my point at all. My point was that he was actually sitting in a train in Japan wearing a Kilt - whether a plaid or a tartan one is secondary^^° You mean you don't dress nicely to travel? Threre's...

Yes, that too. We don't log hospital visitors over here either.
I guess which facet strikes you as more unrealistic than the other depends on your personal experience. I don't work in a hospital, but I do have quite a bit professional experience with privacy regulations :-)

Re: Unforeseen Consequences Continuum

Th-they’ve just deployed to Menazoid Epsilon You know... I really don't think Warhammer 40K is something Hanako would read  Lilly heard the smack of a hand to a face. It sounded like Angus had face palmed. Actually I did facepalm the moment you described him as wearing a plaid kilt^^° Angus no...

How the heck did he get his hands on the hospital's guest log? Did he break in at night or is he a high-ranking Illuminati?

Re: NmO does Shorts

Well, if you discount the fact that this was completely OOC for everyone but Akira it wasn't bad :-)

Please note that "not bad" is about as good a rating as I will give any H-scene.

Re: unlocked content gone

IIrc that information was stored somewhere in your user directory... Did you recently clear files from there?
Anyway, the easiest way to restore everything would probably be to check "Skip Text" in the options menu and let the two routes run through. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

Re: Cup and Saucer: A Rika Fan Route

With all the new Rika stories that have appeared since that first few of them, luckily self-destructive and dark is not typical anymore. :-)
