Re: Yamaku Book Club (Scar Crossed Lovers)
Scar Crossed Lovers by MutilatedManequin. Oh. That. To be honest I had forgotten it exists. Not that we'd have lost much if it didn't. As I wrote in my comment back then having the foreign new guy arrive on a Sunday instead of a Monday shortly after lessons start was being innovative. And grammar w...

Re: An Unusual Friendship (Misha x Hanako)
Hmm... This wouldn't really work without a major falling out between Misha and Shizune in the time of the VN, but it does kinda work as an alternate timeline here.
Not really much to say about the story yet - if you decide to continue it - but it would be a good start if you do.

Re: A Roadside Picnic: Iwanako Pseudoroute
Given that the hospital he is in is quite a way from Hisao's hometown it's a bit unlikely that his parents can spend so much time there over several days... or that Iwanako would be able to visit him there. Not sure if you're planning on giving an explanation for that. It's the kind of thing that is...

Re: Ascent: An Emilogue (Erotic Content)
By the way, proofreading that 450k words must be a hell of work. Great job! I gave my comments and appreciation on that piece in that thread already. I did the proofreading for the second part. Funny story: One day the author contacted me and asked if I was interested to proofread a continuation of...

Re: Trying Something New [Emi Fic]
Sure it was obviously a joke. The point Oddball was making was that there are stories where those kinds of jokes just don't fit at all. You can have a goofball clown run across the street naked in an episode of the Simpsons and nobody would bat an eye, but try the same in Game of Thrones and see how...

The Japanese translator is Hir. He has an account here on the forum though he's never been a very active poster. He might react if you drop him a PM.
Not sure about the other members of the team.

Re: Within a Looking Glass – A Rika pseudo-route
Congratulations on finishing the story! It's been a while since we've actually seen a complete route finished. Writing and pacing were very good overall; same with the effort put into researching medical backgrounds as far as I can tell. I'm still not quite sold on being able to keep a heart transpl...

Re: So Fellow KS - Forums Users, How Does KS Motivate You?
For me the motivating factor is more the VN's history than the story:
When I decide to pick up a new project, and the prospect seems daunting, I can always point to KS and say "Hey look, they got it done, too!"

Re: Within a Looking Glass – A Rika pseudo-route
You know... Albinism doesn't really play into compatibility regarding organ transplants. In fact in some countries organs of albinos are much sought after becaute of the (irrational) belief that they can cure HIV... Also you have this sentence in there twice: I pull out the next sheet of paper and s...

Re: Ascent: An Emilogue (Erotic Content)
Well, you know the VN was originally written in English, and the Japanese version is "just" a translation. As such the VN overflows with English (and in some cases Australian) figures of speech, some of which would make no sense to a Japanese speaker at all. For example there are some puns in the ch...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Reliable Narrators)
They idea was that six authors would choose obscure characters (except for somebody writing Shizune) and everybody would write the events of the story as their character tells them. Authors were told that they could completely ignore or disregard what other author's wrote and the reader could choos...

雪 - kind of hard to write that in the snow I imagine
The writing was good as always, though I'm not quite sure yet, whether this chapter will have any impact on the story...

Re: Within a Looking Glass – A Rika pseudo-route
I wonder if Yamaku has such an odd ceremony. Most schools, so I understand, only hold this in April at the start of the school year. My old school did one at the beginning of every trimester. Nice bit of lampshading here... It's still strange, though. I could almost lip sync it at this point – he g...

Re: After Graduation - A Shizune/Hisao story (post good route)
So first of all welcome to the forums! Second, requesting authors to continue their stories is a bit frowned upon here... Finally, the author of this story has not been on this forum for a bit over two years, and they haven't been in contact with me for about as long. I do have an additional chapter...
