Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread
I doubt this was intentional. The opening scenes in the park and the hospital are written in present tense as is the whole of Act 1 except for those five lines. The part with leaving his old world behind is actaully a few dozen lines further down. In the lines I'm referring to, he just wonders why t...

Re: From Shizune's Perspective
Now if you were Kosher, I would expect a Shizune/Emi ship, but since you're not... Well, I'll have to let you surpride me ;-) Should I take the fact you think me less deviant than Kosher as a compliment or an insult? You simply haven't proven your deviantness to the same degree he has so far...

I'm not going to quote Aura's first post for you. I don't support laziness
Anyway, one more thing:
Chapter 1 (Gateway effect) starts with a few lines in past tense for no apparent reason. It reverts back to present as soon as he's through the gate.

Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread
While translating I came upon the following line in Scene 36 (Shanghaied): "I can tell that each harsh, quaking hand gesture is most likely an epithet." I think what you were going for here was "expletive". " Epithet usually means something else. (There is a rarely used, colloquial meaning to the wo...

Re: From Shizune's Perspective
I would have liked a bit more time to edit this, but I figured getting it out in the open and procuring reader feedback would be better for my writing in the long run. Seems OK to me. No mistakes that I could find on a cursory read. Also, good job on the research. fits seamlessly aftrer Act 1. Now ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
Thanks for the advice. I installed the GPU client yesterday and after a few problems it seems to be running smoothly now. I just uploaded the first WU. It took about as long as the console client to complete it, but according to some FAQs it should be worth more. No heat problems so far, but the GPU...

Re: What you wouldn't want to happen in the story
If you quote someone make sure you read what you want to quote. It sounds like he wanted that scene in no matter what, and the other devs forced him to cut it... He didn't have to delete the scene; it simply was deleted for some unspecified reason. Also he called it an "almost rape scene" - whatever...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
So I finally got off my lazy ass and started folding as well. So far I'm using my PS3 and my Laptop, churning out slow but steady 500-1000 points a day. I'd like to do a bit better though, so I have a few questions for those with more experience. Thanks in advance for your help. 1) The PS3 takes abo...

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. I don't understand how anyone could think they are similar...
Frankly, I didn't plan for this ending, but when I wrote Chapter six and asked myself "What would Misha do?", I knew it would have to turn out this way.

Re: Victory Day
So, here's the epilogue. Sorry it took a bit longer than anticipated, but RL (TM) can be a bitch sometimes... Epilogue Four weeks later... After a long and hard fought battle, Hanako moved her armies into Kamchatkta. Damn, now she'd be able to threaten my grip on North America on a second front, and...

Re: Some questions in bulk
I'd like to know about 1) myself, but... 2) A22 3) Yes. As far as I know, Weee, Moekki, Pimmy and Kamifish are female. Might be more. 4) I remember one of the devs mentioning the file size approaching 1GB in the devblog. No idea if that information is up to date. The word count for the complete VN i...

Re: Who Stole Kenji's Lifeforce?
Apart from minor things (such as the hallways being crowded or empty during the festival) the devs have so far placed a high value on internal consistency between the different routes. Nothing they said so far makes me believe this will be different in the finished VN.
