Re: What you WOULD want to happen in the story
I think you're fundamentally misunderstanding what I'm arguing for... I'm not. That's exactly what I argued against in my reply to your first post: The problem is, that having a different personality also changes how people react to you, so you'd basically have to have multiple versions of each sce...

I'm not entirely sure about the period, but I think a bit flabby was considered sexy back then...Caesius wrote:Also gray I'm pretty sure renaissance artists went out of their way to leave no doubt that the nude men/boys in their sculptures and paintings were flaccid and avoid sexualizing them.

Nah, she's the "Why would you want to see my stumps?" kind of girl...
Or even the "What stumps?" kind of girl.

Re: Katawa Shoujo - Pentameter style
I tried to keep the rhyme scheme to "ABAB", and except for one stanza that is "ABABCC" it worked. The rhyme scheme doesn't affect, whether a poem is considered iambic pentameter, though. I'd have used "AABB" or ABBA" schemes as well if it had been necessary. I just think a poem is easier to read, if...

Katawa Shoujo - Pentameter style
I know it's not exactly FanFiction, but This board is probably still the best fit... So, this is an idea that has been going round and round in my head for some time now: What if KS was written in iambic pentameter? Obviously that style is not practical for a visual novel, but just now I was reminde...

Re: Rin's Parents.
Well, I often have to be with my boyfriend's parents (in b4 "there are no girls on the internet" or "there are no girls with a boy friend who play bisohoujo games") but they never interpose between our relation this way. I don't see how they can make something interesting in KS but I'm curious abou...

Re: What you WOULD want to happen in the story
Actually, I'd say the exact opposite of that: The less choice the "player" of this game has, the less involved the player is in the story. Well, that's just a matter of personal preference. I enjoy reading a good story, and I don't need to tell Hisao whether to eat meat or fish for lunch. Yes, mayb...

Re: What you WOULD want to happen in the story
Yes, doing something like that would be relatively easy, if one cared to do some choice every few minutes that had no impact whatsoever on the story... Every choice is something that removes the reader from the story, so I think choices should be used sparingly and only if the are important. Also wh...

Re: Traduttore = traditore
Yeah, this is normal for fansubbing. It's the position known in the fansubbing world as the "editor" and it really does help out the final product. In the cases I've seen, the English of the "raw" translation can be really rough. In my case especially, I'm struggling with that balance of literalnes...

Re: What you WOULD want to happen in the story
The problem is, that having a different personality also changes how people react to you, so you'd basically have to have multiple versions of each scene, which would make the amount of text grow exponentially without any significant increase in story content. I'd rather have one good long story tha...
