Yes that's what I noticed when I rechecked the novels.
This portmanteau is so good that I was totally convinced I read it in the novels before.

At first I was a bit confused as to which bad end you were writing this for, but it became clear soon enough. You might still clarify a bit, though.
Great story.
I liked how Hisao has become all Rinny without noticing himself.
And the "conversation" at the end was pure genius.

Some typos: "She doesn't exactly talk very loud at the bets of times. He reaction from Hisao is priceless." "I'd hate for people tog et the wrong idea." "Well, at least In know why I'm invited." "but it feels wrong doing that for somebody hat can't see you." "Free sandwiches and tea didn't seem like...

Opening up, because you know that the guy cares, to show you acknowledge this, and to show your trust. Hanako sure does it. Emi as well. Even fucking Rin sort of does it in her trademark weird way. And I might add, those are the high points of their respective routes, at least for me. Shizune...sor...

The greatest giveaway is the lack of a google.maps link

So if I had written a scene like that I would probably have used only half the characters and thrown in a few stand-ins for variety. I have an odd rule about throw-away characters -- I hate them with a burning passion. I'd rather have people think only the named characters exist than fill the world...

Also, there's a third category associated with the song: Women, gay men, and male strippers. Ah, excuse me for not having much experience with the latter group ;-) Maybe I'm resitant to this specific piece of humour, because when I do Karaoke with my friends the question of the gender of the origin...

Well she does come across as an indecisive, self-absorbed bitch who doesn't give a damn about Hisao's feelings.
To be fair, it would be hard to write this story from Lilly's perspective in any other way...

The presence of the various girls in line is part personal preference, part introspection triggers, and part fan service. It took a lot more thought figuring out who would be in the line and what they would talk about than anything else in the entire chapter. I literally rewrote the sequence about ...

I thought, the dynamic between the girls in the line was captured pretty good, but the thought of a dorm for about 100 girls (assuming 12 classes of about 15 people, 60% of them girls) having only a single two booth shower and not even a toilet besides that struck me as a bit strange... I imagine it...

That was among the half-dozen songs I though about, but I'm not sure how that would induce so much mirth in everyone - apart from the different appearance of Hisao and the original artists

Why did Misha choose to come to Yamaku? She initially didn't want to come, and choosing to come meant turning her rudimentary sign language knowledge into a career in order to pay tuition. Well, Shizune could sing 4:33 with no problems at all. Shame that song went to Rin.
So what song did HIsao have to sing. Off the bat, I can think of half a dozen songs about weather.

Also, the brothers thing is a mistake - Jigoro's wife (Mayoi) is Lilly's father's (Hiroyuki) sister. And just how were we supposed to know that when we never see Shizune's mother? I'm going to have to go through those two arcs again and see if i can confirm it, because for some reason that sounds o...
