Re: Secret Santa 2018 - Story collection
Resemble Of course it's possible that Akira intended to make a joke here, but to the normal reader it will still look like your mistake if you don't at least add her winking mischievously or something... Anyway, here's my story. Merry Christmas brythain! A Gift of Confidence From Mirage_GSM for bry...

Re: Secret Santa 2018 - Story collection
I haven't read that other story either, since it's not up here on the forums, but I roughly know what it's about from the comments that ARE on the forum. If y'all want to post a few weeks early, go ahead... I haven't even finished my outline yet. Call me traditional, but I'll be posting at 23:59 on ...

Secret Santa 2018 - Story collection
Hello again! A few weeks ago ProfAllister started the call for the Seasonal Solstice Secret Santa Short Story Sharing Session SEQUEL! Since it's now December and apparently there were enough takers to fill an actual advent calendar I decided to open up the collection thread a bit early just in case ...

Re: Reminders
You say my reliance on this atmospheric style of writing is something to merely be nitpicky about, but I remember it indeed being a long running issue of mine. Well, I'd say it's not something that will objectively make your story a worse one - it's just that something that will appeal to some read...

Re: Reminders
Hello, and welcome to the forums! Let me start by saying that your writing is excellent - very atmospheric. If I had to nitpick, I'd say it was a bit too much atmosphere compared to actual plot, but I don't so I won't :-) Two points about plot continuity: First, this story makes it seem as if the wa...

Re: Hanako Fancopter One-Shots/Misc. Stuff
Okay, most people here know that I don't have a very high opinion of Lilly, but not even I think she's this evil. I can't really decide whether this is supposed to be a crackfic or a serious explanation of an alternate character for Lilly and Hanako... It doesn't really work as either. For a story i...

Re: Hanako Fancopter One-Shots/Misc. Stuff
I also thought the last one did not work well - on several levels... Most relevant while the dialogue might have fit a situation that would lead into what was happening - and very obviously too - it did not fit a situation where it was already happening at all. On the SpaG front there were several p...

Re: Who's storyline moved you the most in Katawa Shoujo?
Depends on how you define "moved"
I had the strongest reaction to the first ending I read - Emi's bad one.
Obviously not a good reaction, though... More like a cold knot in the gut...

Re: Flowers Before the Fireflies - A Miki Pseudo-route
Off to a good start I think, though it's too early to say much more.
There's a bit of odd grammar in the first part, but it gets better towards the middle. You said you had proofreaders on discord, but in case they didn't make the jump here together with you, just drop me a PM.

Holy crap, 200,000 views? I'm so grateful that so many people have read this Well, given how many posts there are in this thread, I might personally be responsible for about 800 of them... Would be interesting to know how many distinct people this translates to - more interesting than the p...

Re: Beyond the haze [OC] - Prologue added 11-12-2018
Some odd word choices but other than that SpaG are quite good. I'm always wary of stories where OCs are "overloaded" with disabilities - in this case two conditions that have nothing to do with each other... I'm not sure if her heart condition is something you've planned to be a major plot point lat...

Funny thing we were just discussing one of Kosher's stories in the book club.
Your writing reminds me of his.
And yes, that is supposed to be a compliment.

Re: A Roadside Picnic: Iwanako Pseudoroute
“Moooom, stop,” I say laughing, drawing out her name. So her name is "mom"? I've tried not to fall into the same pit traps I see many new authors fall into, mainly writing themselves into corners with things they have declared as canon (in their fic, at least) and then not being able to get around ...

Okay, let's get grammar out of the way first: She ... skids to a stop in front of Rin and I,...
