Why not simply rename your character? That's easy enough for you to do.
And while you're at it, you can make her Japanese - except if you want to make her insufficient language skills a plot point...
You know that would actually be an interesting thing to do, but I don't think it will be easy...

Re: Forever Dreaming
I was caught trying to skip class on the gardens Do you mean " in the gardens"? i've spent about a lot of my school year on these gardens In this case, if you write "on the gardens" it would mean she spent time working on gardening or something similar. appearing from nowhere with all of her glory ...

There is a tag for Code that causes all other tags within to be written out instead of processed, so This text is bold. would become This text is bold. That makes it easier for comrade to copy the submissions to the archive. The OP contains a form you can use, but try not to accidentally remo...

Re: The Limbless Wonders (Updated 2/12/14)
it was mentioned that Rin can't dress herself so Emi does it for her, Emi helps her get dressed. I'm not sure it says anywhere that she isn't able to do it herself. She only says she has a problem with shirts. There are videos on Youtube of armless people dressing themselves without help. I'll be s...

Re: Rin: Clearer Than Words
And here I thought I was pedantic ;-) One question, though: There should be a comma after "That". Why? "That and a ... classroom" is a simple list of two things connected by "and" and thus shouldn't need a comma. "Checking out" wasn't too hard to understand, even if I hadn't heard the expression bef...

This is the Youth Hostel the group is staying in in "Tripping".
I also looked up train schedules from Sendai to Sapporo, planned out day trips with google maps and lots of other minor stuff.
I'll have to take some liberties with distances in future chapters for story reasons, though...

I'm pretty sure Rin is able to do that by herself.to allow her to do things she previously could not, like dressing herself, or brushing her teeth
No spelling problems that caught my notice

Okay... Yes, everything Helbereth just wrote is correct, but nobody - not even Helbereth I think - expects you to write like that on your first story. Getting this good is going to take years of practice. So try to take from his post what you can, but don't sweat it if your story doesn't read like h...

A glance at the time denies what hopes I had for any extra sleep. If you try to use metaphors, be sure they work. The glance doesn't really deny anything. This is no major problem, but in this case it's only two sentences into the story... My name is Gage Anderson... Rather than creating a backstor...

Mr. Motou His name is Mutou ;-) And he usually calls Hisao by his last name. had long ago sapped what little will there’s been to pay attention. "what little will there’d been" “You too?” Hisao asked - perplexed because he’d been[1] completely unsure of what he’s been[2] trying to say himself. [2] ...

I am finally met with her eyes. "... my eyes are finally met by her eyes" would be grammatically correct, but passive voice is still very strange here. "Her eyes meet mine" or something similar would sound more natural. You wanted to me to help Really, who's idea was it to give me hammer? Whose The...

Re: Overdrive (Lilly)
About chapter 4, I was reminded of articles on how in Japan "no doesn't always mean no" (and for that matter, "yes doesn't always mean yes") I would conditionally subscribe to the second part, but when a Japanese person tells you "no" you can be damn certain they mean it. Usually they'd phrase it i...

It's always there. If you choose it you'll be only anle to get on Rin's or Emi's routes.
