Convince James Doohan to do the voice-acting for all of Lilly's lines.
Sadly no amount of money will be enough to get him into this project. He died before development even started. RIP Scotty.

You might be luckier getting George Takei to do Hisao's...

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 35 up 3/

Why Yoshi ? You know there's already a Blind guy who likes Yuuko who's in bro-mode with Hisao in the game, right? Why add another character who essentially fulfills the same purpose? Because Kenji is not really the go-to guy for relationship problems? Because fresh OCs are more interesting? Because...

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 35 up 3/

I rather thought this chapter was throwing any progress from the last one out of the window and moving everything back to the state of equilibrium... And the next chapter might change that from a two-party equilibrium to a three-party one. As much as I like this story, take care not to drag it out t...

Re: Yamaku Book Club

Answering most of these questions would not be talking about the story so much as developing the setting further... The school building is definitely old and certainly predates a school for the disabled. I didn't decide what kind of place it was before that, but it being turned into a school - and t...

Well, Kozo Kanzaki is (very loosely) based on Khelben Arunsun - the other five OCs are completely original.

Re: Shizune Arc (misha, jigoro)

I at one time assisted in a first aid course for the hearing-impaired. There were participants who lost their hearing when they were already adults. They were able to speak, but it was extremely hard to understand what they were saying. So it is apparently very difficult to even retain one's fluency...

Re: Yamaku Book Club

It doesn't look like you're even trying to replicate Misha's unique style of speech, To be honest, I don't really consider "~" to be a valid letter/bit of punctuation/whatever to be used in spoken dialogue. I don't complain about it when other people use it, because it seems to have become the norm...

Re: Yamaku Book Club

Thanks for the in-depth feedback. I'll have to keep my reply short for now, since I'm going to be away from home the whole day. Just a few things: After indicating that Takeshi's a Yamaku alumnus, the first question is (of course) "what's his disability?" His right eye is covered by a black patch li...

Re: ...It Costs An Arm And A Leg!

To be fair, the opening post already pointed out that this was going to be about a Gary/Marty Stu. Well, I hope the author didn't make him a Gary Stu intentionally . Yeah, so imagine my utter bewilderment that we have legitimately good authors in this thread unironically offering criticism. How do ...

Re: Shizune's route

I don't mind the one choice. I like reading normal books, and I don't get a single choice there, so a well-told story doesn't need choices for me. My main problem in Shizune's route was the lack of romance (I'm partially quoting an older post by myself here): What struck me most when comparing Shizu...

Re: ...It Costs An Arm And A Leg!

No, it's not likely, but that doesn't mean someone won't think it'll happen. Well... It's a bit like going for a walk and constantly checking the sky for falling metors. Yes, it could potentially save your life, but it makes you seem quite a bit paranoid. You're not serious about this one, are you?...

However, there is one aspect which I am ready to talk about without a reread: Cancer. ... I admit that I don't have any firsthand experience with cancer. I did do research on it, especially on the type I was going to give Misha. So it is a type of cancer that can affect teenagers and the treatments...

Re: Staggering Harmony - (A2,S6 Update - 2/28/14)

Not really much to ay about this chapter except that 1.000 Yen seems way too expensive for two tries at a crane game (that's more than 10USD) and that you should try to use paragraphs instead of starting a new line after every sentence...

I struck on a very similar chord as Mirage did by having his aversion toward women manifest following a sexual encounter. ... so I wonder if it's something a lot of people assume contributed to his anti-feminism, or if Mirage and I are just on similar wavelengths. Re: Yamaku Book Club

So far I haven't seen anyone who would be alienated. And what's the worst that could happen? Sea chooses a story that nobody likes, discussion is over in a day and the next story begins sooner. Noone hurt. Anyway, if Sea wants to go through the hassle of collecting and counting votes, then he should...
