There's still an empty pillow beside her...

The only reference I thought I got was the one to drug abuse, but that was apparently not intentional.
I know nothing about Dora the Explorer, except that people are paid to impersonate her in amusement parks.

You're talking about "Acts" rather than chapters. But I know the typical traditon of a visual novel is to dedicate 4 chapters to each girl...

the principle told the students You probably meant "principal"... and I'm pretty sure taking nails from a nailgun through the eyes would be fatal. Anyway, not many redeeming qualities about this fic. Pacing is non-existant, it's more like an extended summary or plot description than an actual story...

Re: Steel (We're on the third chapter now!)
"How's it going Tom? How's your day been?" Your character continues to talk to characters that have not been properly introduced. I toss Tom down on the ground Wut? By this time I started wondering if your OC is maybe suffering from severe hallucinations. I don't know whether what your character sa...

Re: Sun Setting
I can personally attest to the sun setting quite early in northern Japan.
Part of it is the Latitude and the proximity to the eastern border of the time zone.
Also, they don't have DST.

Re: So there's like, 6 main girls and maybe 3 or 4 side girl
Well, considering that most of the people here don't even speak Japanese and/or are way to old to go to High School there would certainly be a few problems...Let's say for a second that everybody here ends up at Yamaku.

Nothing much I can add to what already has been said.
This story is fun despite the sometimes somber - or even morbid - themes.
It seems Hisao had his heart attack earlier in this alt-universe - not that it matters; it is an alt-universe ^_^

Nor have I ever forgotten the day that you refused to leave for Scotland with your mother and I. ...with your mother and me. You've got to let it go dude. The "blank and I" versus "blank and me" usage is so minor that it's not considered a grammatical error by even the International Baccalaureate. ...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Closure)
Closure has always been one of my favourites. At the time it came out it was easily in my top three; with the multitude of good stories that appeared since it dropped a litte but is still in my top ten. It's been some time since I last read it, though, so I might misremember some details. Yes, it is...

No the letter is the same in every route.
And in this case I'd say the different times the letter arrives are not a screw-up but rather just the most convenient times for the letter to arrive in the respective routes.
