Learning sign language IS a reason. Not every school offers courses for that.
And why would other students - especially the deaf ones - object to healthy people wanting to teach their language?

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 47 up 8/
Specifically, it's meant to emphasize the separation of active thoughts from passive observations and their attendant reactions. And yes, it's meant to feel disjointed, at least to a degree. You've written chapters from many characters' perspectives so far and usually you emphasize that separation ...

Re: In What Order Did You Complete The Routes?
Remember, A22 wrote the least popular character and route in the game, for what it's worth. While I also didn't like Shizune's route as much as the others (still good compared to most other VNs out there, though) it is for a different reason. I completely agree with A22 on few meaningful choices be...

Re: I visited Yamaku High today
Well, Hisao's dorm room doesn't exist at that university, so the answer to that question is Noone. For one thing, Brown University has about 30 times as many students as Yamaku, so their housing is also quite different. I think the only pictures in KS that are actually from Brown are the exterior vi...

Re: How long did it take until you started your second path?
Probably about the 30 minutes it took me to condense my notes into a review and post it. Might have been the next morning if I was too tired to continue.

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 47 up 8/
It seems I'm late to the party. Great chapter as always, but... I'm with forgetmenot in that the formatting confused the hell out of me. Why do you put parts of Shizune's inner monologue in || when you don't do that for any other character? Also the nested [[]] for Misha's translations don't really ...

Re: The Bells of Life-Kirino Kage (OC)
-Yeah, I'm glad someone finally brought it up. There is no real meaning to the name Kirino; it's "unknown", the last name Kage means "shadow". So Unknown-Shadow, fits her personality perfectly. Shy and introverted, barely anybody knows of her or pays attention to her. Both unknown and a "shadow" of...

Re: The Bells of Life-Kirino Kage (OC)
Okay, I suggest you cut back the exaggeration a bit. For example, turning off your alarm clock doesn't have to be a battle every morning. It's fine to put something like that in a story once or twice per chapter, but - at least for me - it gets tiring if I read it half a dozen times in the first par...

Re: The Manila Tales –A Summer-ish Series (Updated 7/31)
Historically, bastard was not an insult at all. It was mainly used for the illegitimate offspring of nobility, and some "bastards" were even proud of their heritage were allowed to use their fathers' colours (with a small addition to signify their illegitimacy) and could even inherit if there were n...

life had been hard for my parents and I me . It's also traditionally a much harsher insult in Germany than the States Hmm... Is it? I've always considered it pretty mild as insults go. Modern usage certainly has a connotation of being mean, but it's nothing you couldn't call a friend when joking.

Re: In What Order Did You Complete The Routes?
Well, I'm certain the first route I did was Emi... and I saved Rin for last, because I assumed it would be the most difficult... To be honest I don't remember the order exactly, but according to the dates of my review threads, it was 1. Emi (Dec 4th, 2011) 2. Shizune (Dec 7th, 2011) 3. Hanako (Dec 1...

This is a common trait for many of themocaw's stories...
