Re: Are the pasts of the girls darker than they first seem?
Misha's disability was only in question before the release of KS when only the demo was available. It has been more or less settled since then: She doesn't have a disability; she is at Yamaku to learn sign language (and to get away from the bullying at her previous school). She is telling Hisao all ...

First of all a cannon is something you shoot stuff out of, and you don't usually carry one around on your head. Second, Aspergers and Autism are real conditions that are all too often assigned too all sorts of people/characters based on something someone has read somewhere on the internet, but that ...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Showing—Developments!)
Oh yes, Hisao's parents... On that I agree. starting THAT conflict in the last chapter was unnecessary. It's one thing not to resolve all the conflicts of all the characters in the story, but introducing new characters in the final chapter just to start a new conflict that ends up unresolved is a li...

That.
If you spent too many chapters on too short a timeframe, it's easy to have a chapter feel dragged out endlessly.
This very rarely hapens in your stories.

It's rare to find one of those in your stories : It dredged up all the pent up emotions that both her and Suzu shared. "both she and Suzu" I really didn't envision one day lasting this god-damned long! Wasn't there supposed to be a wedding at some point? That's your storytelling as we all know and l...

Shizune and Misha have been on both Hisao and I all this time. on Hisao and me “Maybe, but do consider that between Hisao and I, you’ve let the hammer down. between Hisao and me Also you jump wildly between tenses, sometimes within one sentence like here: The ringing lasts a little longer than expe...

Re: Reliable Narrators
You know, I'd love for you to write something about the creation process for this, but you might want to wait until the other three parts have been posted. I guess it will get continuously harder for the remaining authors to keep everything consistent with all previous part - even considering the "r...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Showing—Developments!)
The worst thing one can do to a story is to have every single character end up in a happy relationship by the end. For one thing it destroys the suspension of disbelief, for another it feels like their lives are over now. It's happily ever after. No moreinteresting things happing in their lives from...

Re: Hisao and Kenji: Masterful One Shots! Christmas Update
I couldn’t deny that Kenji was as good as a father to me, and had been for a while. It just took me some time to figure it out. Miya, meanwhile, had practically adopted me the moment I first stepped into their home. Miya was kind of awesome that way. Two lines of past tense in all this Since she's ...

In the beginning of the chapter there are a few lines where you slipped into past tense.
...also later with Kenji at the bar.
Good chapter - too bad we already know a lot of what will and what won't happen...

Re: TheDwarfLard's One-Shots (Updated 19/12/2015)
I'd never insist on something like that. It's your story to tell. I'm just pointing out a problem and suggesting a way to fix it. whether you DO fix it (or find another way to fix it) is up to you. In this case the problem is that university entrance exams are held mid-January in Japan, so if someon...

I played this as my 2nd VN and couldn't help cringe all the way through the common route. I made the mistake of watching the first season of the Grisaja Anime. I can assure you ALL routes are extremely cringeworthy. I remember one route was just barely tolerable storywise... Not sure what the girl'...

Re: TheDwarfLard's One-Shots (Updated 19/12/2015)
"Good. Also, didn't you used to play soccer with your friends? Why not pick that up?" "didn't you USE to" - Didn't is already past tense. I can't help but sigh, despite knowing this would probably happen. Giving them a hint beforehand might have helped with that if he already expected it to happen....
