Ah. I definitely remember seeing your stuff. You've added those other test sprites to your DA account since the last time you posted, I see. Sorry about not getting back to you, that was my bad. However, at this point, we're looking for people whose skills are further along. Thanks for following up,...
We're still looking for additional artists. If you're interested (or know someone who is), please post some sample work and we'd love to have a look.ILiekCorn wrote:Sajomir wrote: Returning to the topic of the KS game now.
Are all the illustrator positions filled?
The Ougon Musou Kyoku (Umineko fighter) sprites were traditionally 2D illustrated, but I can see why you would think they weren't, given the large amount of detail some of them have (like Beatrice's dress). And given that the characters aren't originally from a fighting series, it's to be expected ...
On the subject of 3D I once tried a method where I made a cel shaded 3D model of one of my anime characters, animated it and then converted it into a series of 2D frames (like the original Mortal Kombat games) and put that into a 2D fighter engine. Color-wise it looked good, but the animations look...
We read them.Meower wrote: I hope the devs read these ;m;
Keep in mind, we're far enough in that one girl's design is more or less set in stone, and we have the general idea for two more. It's still fun to read, though!
Hello. In regards to applying for a position on the team: As far as "spriters" go, is that restricted only to pixel sprites (the character's in-game animations)? I ask because, although I'm not much of a sprite maker, I could probably draw the character's "select screen portraits" and/or "special a...

Interesting. Professor, I don't suppose you'd mind posting your credentials? If this is going to be an academic paper, you'll have your real name associated with it soon enough, so that shouldn't be a problem, right? I'd also like to be able to look up the completed paper, especially if it's publish...
We do not need beta testers at this point. We will post if and when this changes. Until then, please assume we do not need testers of any sort. @Loona: Yeah, something along those lines. Obviously it would be much simpler, though. If I were to do it personally, I would get a 3D model into the pose I...
Not to rain on the parade, but it is my opinion that 3D sprites would not look nearly as good as 2D sprites. Bingo. If we used 3D models for anything, it would be to set up a frame of animation, then we'd draw a sprite based on the model. Admittedly, it could be useful for certain props. Or as anot...

...I totally swear this isn't distracting me from other things I'm supposed to be doing.
Huh? You haven't told me ANYTHING about this.... I'll have to give a hint about Rin's special, I suppose.Halkure wrote: (I am secretly holding out for a Shizune super involving mountains of council paperwork.)
Here goes, the last one. :) Yarrr! I have to admit, the moment Emi mentioned a pirate, “peg leg” is the first thing that popped into my head. XD Poor Emi! The change of her expression on the picnic CG.... awwww! Just watching Emi and Hisao interact is a blast. I got along just like that with a frien...
