Two questions. 1: Why wouldn't the 8 cores on my MacBook Pro be enough? 2: Why do you show no points/work units since July?

I quite like your story. Others have stated the good reasons, so just pick one of those.

That would be a feat, since 3-1 is for he hearing impaired ;-)
Is it? I thought that was fanon and not canon.

Re: Mean Time to Breakdown — (Iwanako, Divergence) {u 7/19/2

Hmm, as the editor, I guess I should weigh in on this. I'm with Helbereth on this: there isn't anything to spoil after the very beginning, so you have to use good writing to carry it. Surprise! You do. If the surprise was more significant to the story beyond the opening, that would be different. I'v...

Re: Capture the moment (Hisao/OC) Chapter 2 posted 21/8/13

Always good to see new writers and new OCs who aren't clichés. Good job. Even if you did use a huge cliché at the end. :D One thing about the ages though: Rika is eighteen, just like Hisao, Shizune, Lilly, and Rin (Emi is nineteen, while Hanako turns eighteen during the story). Rika missed a year of...

Re: Summer By The Sea [A sorta-sequel to Weekend at Hisao's]

On a semi-unrelated note, can someone explain the 'Miki route curse' I keep hearing about? More than one writer has attempted to write a Miki route. None of them have been completed. All but one of them (I believe; I'm a little behind on reading the fanfic forum) are dead. That said, I remember a o...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team

That said, talifan, does the beta trick only work on GPUs? I tried it with my CPU and it told me it wasn't available. It does. The eh..."bonus" for CPUs requires 8 cores or more, otherwise it doesn't really help. That is using the code "bigadv" instead of beta Oh, that's why I had it go completely ...

Re: Kagami Pseudo-Route [Updated 7/24]

Loved this. Even though it didn't really have Kagami in it. Her presence is still felt throughout.
She stops at the top, ducked over, and motions with her head for me to follow her.
I'm surprised Mirage didn't notice this one. He's the one who's always pointing these out.

Re: Weekend at Hisao's (Was: At the Train Station) - [Some P

Ah yes. I found it http://pastebin.com/u/mehkanik His Emilouge is beautiful. It's perhaps the best Emi fic I've read. But beware, you may cry. I agree that it's probably the best Emi epilogue, but I do have problems with it. A discussion of that has already occurred in another thread, so I won't go...

Better to PM the author rather than ask here. It smacks of being a request, which is not allowed.

Why does Shizune need to use deaf-blind speech to talk to Hisao?

What happened? Suddenly I'm the #1 producer on the team?

I'd feel better about it if it was because my computer was doing more and not because everyone who was ahead of me seems to have dropped out.

Re: Mean Time to Breakdown — (Iwanako, Divergence) {u 7/19/2

Hm… I'd suggest "heart, and as soon as it's gone, it's game over" or "heart and, as soon as it's gone, it's game over". I'm not sure, though. The comme before "and" is mandatory. The ones around "as soon as it's gone" are optional, but I'd leave them out or use dashes instead... probably leave them...

Re: Mean Time to Breakdown — (Iwanako, Divergence) {u 7/19/2

Though the conversation peters out after that, I spent the next few minutes silently basking in my success as Hanako quietly goes over her notes from the previous class. You either need 'petered' or 'spend' rather than the versions presented. Otherwise there's a tense issue with this sentence. Yeah...

Re: Mean Time to Breakdown — (Iwanako, Divergence) {u 7/19/2

"short of Misha brightly greeting me when I walked in, I haven’t actually said a word to anybody since I sat down." I'd suggest rewriting this slightly; currently, the first part only mentions Misha speaking, not Iwanako, which doesn't connect with the second part. Perhaps, "short of my quick respo...

Re: A Ritsu Route (Updated 7/1)

The fast pace of their relationship is much more understandable now. Ritsu doesn't know how to do anything but live tennis, so she feels she has to figure out everything on her own. I hope Hisao can help her learn to be happy being Ritsu. And no matter how pretty a person might be, she's just a cree...
