Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread

Ugh, I kinda wish I didn't play this. It totally slipped my mind it wasn't a full release, I was just minding my business playing Chess with Hanako and the game ends. :( Is there any way to get email updates? Really hoping this project is finished and doesn't become abandoned. Don't worry about it ...

Re: why aren't the authors of VNs giving proper credit?

A book is almost completely done by one or maybe two people. A VN is not done by one person most of the time. Have you seen the credits on a VN? Could you easily fit all those names prominently on box art? This pretty much. It's probably rare that a single person even writes the story for a VN. KS ...

Re: Recommend a VN

Hey all, First post and hopefully it's a good one! I'm new to VN's, I've just played this, "dont take it personally babe", and one other I'd like to recommend: Memo. http://www.artofdoom.com/memo/ It's short and sweet, has its flaws, but great artwork and interesting characters. Takes place in scho...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team

I'm not even sure you need to download that... It should be in the PS3's main menu under "network". "Life with Playstation" And I don't think it was affected by the server outage. You need to download it, but it wasn't affected. Edit: That is, you select the menu option, which starts the download

Re: RenPy update?

Oh, you'd be surprised how CPU-intensive some graphics operations can be, especially when you're animating them. The thing is though, on systems where this comes into play, OpenGL performance is usually not much better. I used to have such a system, and frankly I thought this would be sorta obvious...

Re: RenPy update?

Hardware acceleration in a VN (that doesn't utilize real-time effects or something else that would otherwise be a CPU hog) is like shooting clay pigeons with a heavy machinegun. Sure, it works but it's a little silly, you don't need all that extra power and inconvenience.

I can recall you saying the name of the novel yourself, however now that I'm looking for it I can't find it.

Re: Visual Novels Illegal?

Considering they're all in the last year of highschool, there's nothing to contradict them all being 18 or over, and there's nothing saying any of them are under eighteen. Innocent until proven guilty applies; it's perfectly plausible to assume they're all of age, so it would be hard if not impossi...

Hanako? Outgoing and not shy at all?
I may be attracted to her for her shy nature but I've got to admit this isn't really worse :3

Proceed.
