Re: Characters' musical tastes?

I can't help but think that Rin would like IDM.

I hate IDM.

Gotcha?

As one of Shizu's fans, I would be okay with this, actually.

Re: Characters' musical tastes?

I didn't say for them to listen to it, I said for them to like it. Like you can read stories to yourself and you can still like them without reading it out loud - though I guess music is a little more than a tad different. This doesn't make sense. How can you decide whether or not you like a song b...

Re: Characters' musical tastes?

I haven't read the whole thread in your link, so this may have been answered, but wouldn't many of them like songs for the lyrics they have, and not the actual ~vibrations~? I hope I didn't miss this being mentioned in this thread (so I don't make a fool of myself), but if I were deaf, I'd imagine ...

Re: Characters' musical tastes?

Blind people can certainly appreciate 3D art, or any art which has a "touch" element to it. The fact that they aren't able to experience and appreciate 2D art is akin to the way deaf people aren't able to experience higher frequencies of music, especially when it's drowned out by lower frequencies. ...

Re: Characters' musical tastes?

Concerning Shizune... I really have to wonder if there's genres or even specific songs that one could determine that deaf people in general like. Also, is there a rift between the musical tastes of those who were born deaf, and those who went deaf later? Would someone who went deaf later continue to...

Do want. Someone please run with this on the Shimmie. :D
I'd need some band names to get me going. Punk rock (or "rawk" in this case) is a big genre.

Re: Characters' musical tastes?

The only way for Shizune to perceive music is by feeling the vibrations~. So I guess she would like her music loud and with lots of bass. But not techno, because the bass is too regular and repetitive. What about breakbeat, then? Also, I'm not convinced that a deaf person would be any more inclined...

Re: Singing Lilly

The cello bit got cut 'cause it was cliche. It's probably best to limit her musical talents to singing, though that's just my opinion and not necessarily what the devs are planning.

But in all seriousness, even disregarding the fact that KS will not have voice acting (ever), I would have to say Lunar Rings.

Fair warning - don't quote my picture.

You think anyone but the most sheltered blind person would be offended by that?

Re: So, that new Yuuko.

I think that even if the new Yuuko looks older, she looks less mature than the old sprite because of the stereotypical geekiness that now apparently defines her.

Re: So, that new Yuuko.

I was the first person to have strong negative criticism besides "I just don't like it" and I'm immediately hit with image macros. It's ridiculous. Anyway, regarding her eyes, it may just be an illusion because she no longer has bangs, but they're definitely smaller which may contribute somewhat. He...
