Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
About the only one I can think of off the top of my head is accepting large (over 10MB) WU's. As for the amount of CPU cycles used; it should be using any unused cycles up to 100% unless you have put a cap on it in the client configuration.

Shizunes style would be much more of a rational psycopathy than an irrational one. Probably with charts on which type of knife blade would skewer Hisao's heart best.Quidoo wrote:... irrationally psychopathic...

1234 ...goddamn, why do Yandere chicks always look so hot? You never heard the saying, "Crazy in the head; crazy in the bed." CommissarMM? If some women can be attracted to "Bad Boys", it stands to reason some men can be be attracted to "Crazy Chicks". Experiencing vicarious danger through th...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
Hey! Welcome to the KS team and all that to the new folks folding; callmeemo, Utumo, and Techk8.
We don't do it up too flashy with assemblies of fast machines, but by everyone doing a steady pace and having fun with the others on the team.

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
According to the log file the project that is brining my GPU client to its knees is number 5915 (Run 2, clone 345, Gen 32). At least it is mostly done (80%) and hopefuly I won't pick up another from that project.

Re: How large is the following for KS currently?
Heh. Never been there, was just going by what I could glean from the Wikipedia article. ;) It's sort of like Chicago, then, with all the smaller towns and suburbs that 'count' as part of the city? Indianapolis has a similar setup, where the city occupies all of the county. There are a few hold-outs...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
Wow! Since the weekend I noticed I have been recieving some 8,000,000 step WUs' that are taking as long or longer to fold than some of the 15-20 million step WUs' I got previously. They are real grinders. I guess these are simply falling out of the hopper and it my luck to get them.

Re: How large is the following for KS currently?
Nice to see Sweden pulling its weight. Pleasanton seemed weird to me (having never heard of it before), but I guess it's technically part of San Francisco so that makes sense. Ahh, not that it matters at all, but Pleasanton is part of the SF Bay region, but it is in the East Bay over 2 hours travel...

Re: Of and on Rin
Yep, I'm also agreeing with G3n; through Act 1 we only have a relatively few hours of experience with Rin to try to get a handle on her rather unique nature. Demanding a detailed analysis without the full release is kind of like insisting on tearing apart a stage magicians props and strip searching ...

Re: Of and on Rin
I see Rin least in terms of her disability of all the girls. Her personality is so strong that I see her being much the same if she was born with 2 functional arms. Call me crazy but I see the mind as the seat of personality and character not limbs or senses. I don't deny that the lack or loss of th...

Re: Emi: The Lost Girl
Darn it! I've been mostly ignoring the KS forum with the exception of the F@H thread for a while and a nice thread like this about Emi pops up. Good comments from Demios, (even though I had to break out the thesaurus for his post. lol!) Ever17, Pimmy, and a surprise visit from TheHivemind. I wish I ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
Well, I don't seem to be alone after reading some of the forums at F@h. http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=11826 is talking about the same error I was getting. I decided if I had to mess around in my FAH folders I'd give the SMP console client a try. So far it seems to be working fine but ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team
Hmm, has anyone else had problems with or read about unstable GPU clients and CPU clients "looking for new work" forever? I have made no changes to my software or setup at all on my XP rig but for some reason I keep finding clients that stopped working.

Re: Misha's disabillity?
Baseless conjecture, in other words. Yup. It keeps the board lively. I still got my money on Misha's problem being in her head. (inner ear or brain tumor, etc.) When it comes to Misha's disability I always get the "Dead Parrot" skit frm Monty Python in my head. She's dead! She's not dead....
