Re: Hanako's Art Complete (Update: Also Rin's)
This was a triumph. I’m making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS. It’s hard to overstate my satisfaction. Four Leaf Studios We do what we must because we can. For the hate of all of us. Except the ones who are gone. But there’s no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on writing till you run out of...

Re: Hanako's Art Complete (Update: Also Rin's)
As I understand, the "direction" being done means the writing is set in stone, and ready as it's going to be. No, it's more than that I think. Direction means stuff like when to cue the music or sound effects, when to move sprites left to centre, use of sprecial effects etc. This is correct. As far...

Re: Katawa Shoujo in Comiket
Comiket? Player's Guide confirmed for scanlation then, just like everything else that gets sold there . Still want a physical copy bad, though! A miniscule of stuff that gets sold at Comiket actually gets scanned. Basically just the big name doujin (Doronokai, Tony Taka, Paranoia Cat, Udon-Ya, Digi...

Re: Recommend a VN
I like the Hanabira series (just ask the other devs...), but uh, the characters are not what I'd call good, much less excellent. The series is just fluffy (at times outright stupid) yuri with cute art.
Katahane is supposed to be very good, but I haven't read it, so I can't vouch for it personally.

Re: Another News Story Related to Disability
Cost is the main issue (though not exactly in the way you mean), but control is another. Prosthetic technology is advancing extremely fast. It's one of the fastest moving areas of bodily research right now, for a number of reasons; not the least of which is that prosthetic technology does have many ...

Re: Another News Story Related to Disability
Well, it's not quite enough to make me wish for one of those. :? Give it another ten years... Also, this guy only lost his hand. I expect including the ellbow joint for Rin would prove to be a lot more complicated. Related: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0_mLumx-6Y Prosthetic arm with elbow and sh...

Re: Recommend a VN
Yume Miru Kusuri - probably the closest VN I can think of to KS. Not a huge fan of it, but it was a decent read, and it did influence KS. Planetarian - a short dystopian story, and the only Key game I'd say is good. Narcissu - has a similar theme to Planetarian, told in a more grounded (and minimali...

Swan Song
Yume Miru Kusuri
Planetarian is a nice short story but has no H. Same for Narcissu.

I think this thread has run its course. Good show on the thread not becoming overly bogged down in politics/ethics, though.

Lilly's completely, 100% blind from birth due to a genetic defect. She's never had any form of sight.

The stem cell thing and this are both just jokes.

Re: Katawa Shoujo in Comitia 96
One more quick note about the cover art: Shouldn't they not be wearing shoes, but wearing those comfy-looking Japanese school slippers? We've had this discussion internally a while back. We decided that uwabaki look lame. Not every school uses them, either (although the large majority do), so we de...
