Re: Fanfiction: Fractures
Okay, this is now officially my favourite of all 2015's crop of new serial fics. Thank you.

Re: Random KS Discussion
Sooooooooo~ , uhhhhh, does anyone else kinda miss the days where the forums were super active? I don't remember those days, since I'm relatively new, but I've seen a lot of new writers sprout in the fanfic area. They don't often cross over to the discussion area, though — I suspect most of them are...

Yamaku Book Club (Meeting Reminder)
Just a reminder about the next in sequence: Hanako Ikezawa.
If all that needs to be said about Mutou-sensei has already been said, do PM me suggestions for Hanako's segment, lasting from end-August through September!

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 8/9)
My experience with painkillers is limited, Tylenol 3 (codeine/*acetaminophen) and Vicodin (hydrocodone/paracetamol), both after surgeries, and the painkilling from the narcotics was significantly stronger than Ibuprofen. I imagine Saki would need something stronger than just an anti-inflammatory, c...

Nice to have you back, I'm sure Mirage_GSM will be along soon to point out the typos.

Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (35—'Courtyard') (20150812)
I don't know why scenes from this continuity keep popping up in my head. This is a sort of sequel to ' Lanyard ', my previous post. Courtyard: Another Interlude Misha pouted like a lost puppy in front of Shizune. Still claiming to be ill and feverish, Shizune signed the universal sign for ‘get out ...

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly NE) - Epilogue up 8/11 - COMPLE
Ah, thank you for a sweet epilogue that remains true to your slice-of-life vision! It's sad to see Developments come to an end—that's my initial sensation, a kind of bittersweet satisfaction with something well done but over, and hence not to be done again. My other response is that this is an excel...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 8/9)
Apart from ibuprofen being much more common as a painkiller in Japan, I've had few other random thoughts. My main thought was about how deftly and bluntly and painfully Hisao and Saki have had to come to terms with each other's disabilities, and possibilities of death, and now with even higher stake...

Re: Sharp-O's One-Shots! "The Gathering" - 10/8/15 Update
That's not a one-shot! That's a prequel of some sort. No fair! :) Well I thought of throwing the reader in at the deep-end but it still required set-up and I kind of went overboard. Think the idea has legs? I think it requires a lot more careful set-up and planning if you're going to start with suc...

Re: Sharp-O's One-Shots! "The Gathering" - 10/8/15 Update
Not sure if it is because I'm trying to read this at 2am while trying to sleep, but I'm confused I think? I had the idea for a more sci-fi fantasy story and thought an Exiles/Sliders/Kamen Rider Decade team of KS characters might be cool to play with. :D That's not a one-shot! That's a prequel of s...

Mutou: First Sensei
In the wake of Hiroshima Day, I found myself reading a little bit more widely. David Pilling once interviewed Donald Keene, the US scholar who became Japanese. In that interview , Keene spoke on Japanese literature: “I suppose every kind of poetry has its overtones, things that are not spoken. But t...

Re: The Library Anniversarie Collection
Hmm, so far most of our solutions would seem to require 'off-board' support (e.g. BlankMage's Google doc or Mirage_GSM's Excel sheet). There's a tiny bit of discomfort on my part about it being off-board, but that would disappear completely if a moderator had primary control of the central document ...

Re: The Library Anniversarie Collection
Well, per the discussion that created the YL, we're not allowed to exclude anything, or we'll be 'cooked. I'm trying to find the original thread that led to its creation, but so far without success. Actually, if some of us could by brute force (and maybe squeezing our nostrils shut at times) format...

Re: The Library Anniversarie Collection
Obviously I can't exactly nominate people, but I feel like you're pretty damn qualified, Bry. But if any of you can give me edit privileges for the early posts, I can at least help out. I wonder if the sheer volume of fic doesn't warrant a new system of categorization. I mean, should one shot threa...
