Re: Moments in Time [One Shots]
Oh no, it's Hisao's mother, isn't it?

Re: KS Writing Club: Cherry Blossoms (Updated 07/24/15)
That's almost like a good ending. Nicely done. But there's more?

Announcements
I'd like to announce the topic of the second half of September, starting Friday 18 Sep (I figure Friday updates give more people time to look at some good writing). This took some thinking, because while this character doesn't have a main route, a lot of people think it would be good to have one. So...

Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (38—'Thinking') (20150910)
One of the evening scenes from the original KS game always gets to me. You might guess which one after reading this. Thinking Rin slowly walked towards the Thinking Tree so that she could clear her mind. It had been one of those weeks again, when everyone seemed to want to talk to her about somethi...

Re: Bantamweights: A One-Shot
Your bantamweight one-shot was a knockout!
That said, well, a number of people have commented that I only write sad stories. I suspect it's because I've had parallel life experiences.

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Meeting Update: Aug/Sep—Hanako)
It's a nice little story, like most in the anniversary thread (I think we should do another of these in the future, by the way). Better than most 'Hanako and Hisao meet again' stories, I daresay. Mostly because they don't end up together (yet) :P The library's anniversary was 25 August, and I suppo...

What a brilliant chapter. What a wonderful Rin. And the photograph collection at the end, excellent!

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Meeting Update: Aug/Sep—Hanako)
Edit: Heh, it seems to be a matter of record that you liked ' Change in Management '. :) Is that generally held in poor esteem? I thought most of the community had forgotten it, or at least didn't hate it too badly. No! What I meant was that it was on the record that dewelar liked the piece. I like...

Re: After the Dream—Hanako's Arc (Complete)
It's human nature, I think. No one likes to think about the inevitability of death, and it hurts to be forced to look at it head on. In case I haven't said so, this is really excellent writing, even if it's hard to read at points. :D True, that. Thinking of that unknown country makes me want to tak...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Meeting Update: Aug/Sep—Hanako)
It's worth noting that Hanako's also quite prone to falling into the very same trap as Hisao does in her bad ending, IMO, by trying too hard to prove herself useful, even against the wishes of whoever she's "helping". I can't think of many fics that explore those tendencies of Hanako's right now, o...

For Rin it would have to be! (Sidenote: I think that Alison Janney would be excellent as grown-up Rin, except that she's 6' tall.)SpunkySix wrote:Is toe sign language a thing?brythain wrote:Misha dies and Shizune is devastated... and over time, Emi becomes Shizune's best friend and interpreter.

Re: After the Dream—Hanako's Arc (Complete)
Fuck, this one hit me hard, and I thought Lilly's was bad. A reminder, perhaps, that no matter how soon we lift ourselves above the specter of death, it won't have been soon enough. I hope I can bring myself to read the rest of this soon. Some of those endings aren't unhappy; it's just that if you ...
