No, that would be cheese. Or maybe sour cream, with chives.

Re: After the Dream—Main Index & Extras (upd 20140506)

Jeez man, I just read the Emi arc. You really know how to create an impact, that hit hard. Not hard enough for manly tears, though it is generally more difficult to cause those in other writers, but hard enough for chills. You can bet your ass I'll be reading the others, and following the continued...

Is all good in da hood, tho. I took forever to get around to this because I had to articulate.
And I've never seen such a fully-articulated and impassioned piece of advocacy for the waifu… :)

I gotta say this is pretty much 100% spot-on. Well done.
I second that. I'm left feeling that Emi is not best girl for me because I'm not good enough. :)

AtD—Mutou3 (20140506)

This is the third part of Mutou's arc from my post-Lilly-neutral-end mosaic, ' After the Dream '. In that continuity, it takes place in 2015, between the Hisao vignette here and this part of Rika's arc. Mutou 3: Theories of Humanity (T -9) Could this young lady have been his daughter? Could this yo...

Re: Looking for Script or Non-Video Let's Play

Scripts are against the license of the game, but as for "non-video let's plays", the closest thing I can think of is this . I still recommend reading the VN though. It's not like it will take that much time. Ten weeks later, I wake up realising that the VN has taken up a lot more time than I though...

Re: Which girl has the best chance for an LTR with Hisao?

That wording was what did it for me. It implies to me that she's accepted that she could lose Hisao at any point in time, and is happy just being with him for as long as life allows instead of worrying about being unable to be with him for an impossible "forever". This is what made "Hisao, you said...

Re: Say Hisao's parents couldn't afford Yamaku...

This kind of story goes back to a really early node, and totally excises the Yamaku experience. Even Leaty's excellent Mean Time To Breakdown doesn't do that! In fact, I'd say that you're looking at a non-KS story.

Re: Is it just me?

I think those things are called "visual novels" because (especially in English) "novel" has become the default term for long prose. However I think that at least in the case of KS the individual routes are better viewed as novellas. Of course the whole thing is something else, but I would argue tha...

Re: Is it just me?

I think Aura's right, in the sense that KS can be satisfactory on its own; each conclusion can be an ending and that is all. However, humans do like a little bit of 'what if', and that's why novels like 'Gone With The Wind' and 'Pride and Prejudice' are perfectly good on their own, but still get seq...

Re: Is it just me?

see the couples through to marriage and maybe even death. That's not something we think about much, huh? These characters will all eventually die , realistically. I love how you spoiler-tagged one of human life's universal inevitabilities. :o I must say that writing fanfic that takes these people (...
