Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Apologies to Harlan Ellis

While I'd really like to to discuss that, most people have opted out and we wouldn't be much of a book club if there was 2 people talking while the rest ran away screaming. Maybe we can desensitize people and do it later. I think my issue isn't so much sensitivity as the entire Harlan Ellison homag...

Re: Journey of a Non-weeaboo

Welcome to these forums!

There's a thread here where you'll find how other people made a similar journey to you, although not as long and interestingly-written in most cases.

Enjoy!

Re: After the Dream—Others (Rika/Mutou/Akira complete 201405

I swear everytime i finish one of your mosaics I go "daaaaamn that was deep". Amazing job, as always. Also Akira, I hate sad endings too, but it can never be perfect all the time. Thank you very much! Things will slow down a bit soon; much to think about. Akira's ending is with two of the people sh...

Re: Endorphin Rush - An Emilogue (UPDATED 5/10/14)

AFAIK the character isn't actually immortal, but he appears in, oh, about a 80-100 year timespan in Hanako's storyline without aging. And, yes, it's a dead Hanako and Hisao that write the letter. http://pastebin.com/i4pwk0SZ http://pastebin.com/J7pSYzTA I think he's too literal-minded to get this p...

Interlude (20140515)

It's dark, an indeterminate time. I've fallen asleep at my desk again, tired from trawling the endless data-stream, the daily grind of having to teach with still-recovering lungs and throat. Tap-tap. I jump. What? "Hello, author." She's 18 (19?) again. Long blonde hair, blue eyes shadowed in the hal...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Apologies to Harlan Ellis

Hisao and Akira - Terror in the Night! – Side Story by Hoitash (completed, ca. 15.700 words) Less terror? Yes, but this one has bears so it totally makes up for it. Link and time are set and unchanged I think I know that story... Um, there are no bears. There is Akira, though, which I'd say is just...

Re: Name one thing you'd bring to a manly picnic

Hours later, I have consumed Hanako's buns with no ill effect. A bit stodgy for my taste, but otherwise okay. :D

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: After the Dream: Rin's St

What about incredibly well written shock? My motto (dang, almost said 'Mutou') for this is: 'better shock than shlock'. :) ok, hmmmmm *5 hours later* I think, maybe that this is going TOO far, but fuck it, lets do it to the max! With Apologies to Harlan Ellison Author: Doomish Notes: You will never...

Re: AtD—Akira's Arc (Part 6 up 20140514)

Shizune stares at us. I wonder what she sees, framed against the setting sun as her elite guardsmen begin to lower the coffin into the grave. Three women, who all loved one man—one gave him up, one won him, and one chose not to try. Does my cousin know? She seems to know everything. It will otherwi...

AtD—Akira's Arc (Part 6 up 20140514)

This is the sixth and final part of Akira Satou's arc from my post-Lilly-neutral-end mosaic, ' After the Dream '. In that continuity, it takes place during the period 6-9 July 2030, with occasional flashbacks to other events. The only extant account of Akira's passing is found in Misha's story, her...
