Zatoichi, the blind swordsman, my inspiration for what Jigoro calls Lilly in my fanfic continuity.
Maya Nakanichi, Emi's Paralympics mentor, in the same continuity.

It's for better or worse. If it's better, then it's a relation-ship. If it's worse, then it's only worship.poopooface wrote:Shipping?

Oh dear. What an idea for that arc...bhtooefr wrote:To be fair, it would be rather easy to come up with an explanation.
That is, we're working off of what Kenji says in the VN.
Someone who is not prone to rational conclusions, and is very prone to getting things wildly wrong.

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Greater than the Sum)
I have to say that I liked the rock band idea a lot, and the plot (for me) revolved around it and its very fraught history. The thing about OCs in KS fanfic is that my personal attitude (something still new, still evolving since I signed up three months and change ago) is that OCs need to be more em...

Re: Random minor things that appeal to you
I dunno why, but the way the entirety of Iwanako's letter was written in Japanese for our reading/translating pleasure was something I really liked. But then, I'm a sucker for anything not in English, truth be told. I wonder if it stems from coming from the most linguistically useless part of the w...

Re: After Graduation - A Shizune/Hisao story (post good rout
At first I was wondering why dewelar was necro-ing this thread. Then with mounting excitement I realised I was not to be disappointed. Glad to see this new chapter! Shizune-Hisao banter never killed anyone, especially when done this well.

Yeah… too many ideas, too little time…bhtooefr wrote:Basically, I'm saying at this point that your verse and my headcanon can't align, but that's OK. (That Kenji's parents live in Hokkaido in my headcanon, basically.)

Re: After the Dream—Others (Rika/Mutou/Akira Complete)
Well, some of it comes out in the last part of Misha's arc … "Crab in her liver?" Nasty way to die. Huh...I read right past that without even thinking about whether the Japanese word for cancer had the same etymology. Of course, it could just be Misha showing off her skill with English idioms :) . ...

Re: After the Dream—Shizune's Arc/Hideaki5 (upd 20140601)
Well, it wouldn't adequately explain why Hideaki and Sachiko were friends before then, is the problem - by doing that, you've tied the Setous to Saitama. (Which doesn't square with Kenji's claim of a lack of military presence.) And, yes, now the foreshadowing is clear... I do find the idea that Ken...

...goddamnit. How did I not see that coming before the grave visit? Literally, my reactions: -very amusing account of reactions, much appreciated- Mind you, my headcanon has the Setou family being in either extreme northern or eastern Hokkaido. It actually aligns with some details of Kenji's rants,...

Re: After the Dream—Shizune's Arc/Hideaki5 (upd 20140601)
Ahh, the fabled Kenji/Yuuko ship. I will say I've always thought that relationship was better left implied, or at least without a happy ending, but you seem to have justified it satisfactorily. Something about Hideaki's arc seems... off. I think it's because of the relatively little time we got wit...

AtD—Hideaki's Arc (Part 5 up 20140601)
This is the fifth part of Hideaki's arc in my post-Lilly-neutral-end mosaic, ' After the Dream '. It takes place in 2022, a few months before the events described here in Shizune's arc. For Misha's story, see here and here . For the events in Edinburgh, see also here and here . Hideaki 5: Learning ...

We already have a thread about "picking" your disability... and that one was no great shakes either. Aha! An idea for a serious disability: chronic 'shakes', great ones. Neurological problem, no doubt. :) That said, I have a blood deficiency and a brain problem. Made me a very slow developer...

Re: Which character did you get most attached to and why
You can like somebody for their personality or attitude but it's a bit wrong if you go around only befriending people who were bullied. Why? Do those people not deserve friends? Is it somehow wrong to want to be friends with somebody that doesn't have any other friends? I think what's really odd is...
