Re: Why have so many people taken Hanako's route first?
Okay, so back to the topic. Why have so many people taken HANAKO's route FIRST? :) Because she's incredibly kind-hearted, stunningly beautiful, intelligent, and mysterious yet alluring. :P FTFY *does a quick check* Oh dear, that's probably why her epilogue is the only 'good' one of all the ones I w...

Re: Why have so many people taken Hanako's route first?
You are going to need to be a pretty uncaring and mean person if you chose some of those choices. Not really. Which choices are uncaring and mean, exactly? I confess I am an uncaring and mean person. I ended up falling off the roof because of that and I utterly deserved it. I was not one of the 'so...

Re: Why Hanako Must Be Wearing A Wig
This is a Visual Novel based on the Japanese Anime/Manga style. Outlandish colours like Purple and Blue? Usually a stylistic choice for black. Old colour separation printing displayed shades of black as blue pretty often. This is why Batman always looks like he's wearing dark blue in the old comics...

@ Rin's "flammable" sign: Ouch. You REALLY need to work on your tact a bit, Rin. Tact and Rin really don't belong in the same sentence. (If something is burnt to a crisp, doesn't that make it harder to ignite...?) (/shot) Actually, if something is burnt to a crisp, it now is mostly carbon and easie...

Re: What would be the KS cast's favorite "XYZ" general topic
Huh, so it was. I could see Rin becoming addicted to coffee...Lilly's favorite is tea, obviously. I could see Rin becoming addicted to absinthe, and Hanako to sherry. :D Why absinthe? Because it's "hallucinogenic"? Actually, probably because it's an artist cliche and she doesn't know better.....

Re: Why have so many people taken Hanako's route first?
It's interesting to see how the reasons fall neatly into personal aesthetics, gaming style, and probability. I guess there's no single reason, but there's something to the idea that so many people have tendencies leading to Hanako. My psychological take on it is that people who are attracted to the ...

Re: Why have so many people taken Hanako's route first?
I got a manly picnic first time, Lilly good-ending second time, and then deviated a bit and got Hanako meh-ending third time. Why Hanako? Well, I like quiet girls who don't make everything a competition, so that got rid of Emi and Shizune I think. Rin's route isn't easy to get onto in the first place.

Brythain I think it isn't the best idea to dismiss whatever the critics say. If your story has a lot of crazy melodrama than it might be a good idea to check it out. Too much melodrama just leads to comedy in some cases. I'm not dismissing criticism; just not defending my work from it in this case....

Well, I'm still alive. This is a post to announce that I've been getting some work done on this; namely, I made a few edits to the last chapter (well 900 more words,) which is sort of my ritual whenever I come back from hiatus, because I always find stuff I can't stand after a few months of distanc...

Re: What Would Each Minor Character's Route Entail?
I think every minor character, if given a route, would become a major character. This means drama. It means that while some people like slice-of-life stories, in the end, someone gets hurt. This is necessary; the only variable is how much hurt there is, which in turn determines the believable range ...
