Re: Limits of Fanfiction - What is appropriate?
Bad end stuff. I find myself agreeing with most of your ideas. The only one I don't really buy is (you guessed it) Hanako's two. I don't know, I just don't think she is so frail as to be on such a thin line between offing herself and going with the "fuck it all" attitude. Agree. I think Hanako is a...

Re: Sakura—The Kenji Saga (Part 1-1 up 20140625)
Strange. Spooky! There’s music coming from one of the practice rooms, a sad violin or a cello maybe. One of those things you can pretend to carry but it’s really a Tommy Gun. American gangsters in Yamaku? I can see the headlines. On the Net everybody thinks random American students hang out at Japa...

Sakura—The Kenji Saga (Book 6 complete 20190527)
The first six books of Sakura—The Kenji Saga are now complete, and with that, the main story of his life. The last and seventh book, which is an epilogue to the saga, is yet to come. This is the tale of Kenji Setou, reluctant hero and second-string character —from his painful childhood to his final...

Re: Limits of Fanfiction - What is appropriate?
Consider the good endings a baseline to compare the other endings to - the good endings are how suicidal I see each character being normally. Except for Misha, where she may actually be more suicidal in Shizune's good ending, than in a non-Shizune route. I think that your relatively suicidal baseli...

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 44 up 6/
This is a very metaphysical chapter. Not so much the feels, but the philosophical feels. Emi's now got an ethical duty to look after Hisao, which the others don't… poor Emi!

The number of stupid banters and insulting today.... I guess some people here feed off this shit What would be Rin based cake be? I was thinking about an abstract painting of Rin. Would be hard as hell to do that with icing sugar though. Probably citrus flavoured. Rin likes her oranges after all an...

Re: Limits of Fanfiction - What is appropriate?
I do agree with a lot of this, except for "[fixing] one's headcanon" never being a good reason for writing a story. I think it can be, under limited circumstances, such as a person who has never written anything before who finds themselves inspired to write something for the first time in this way....

AtD—Natsume's Arc (Part 7 up 20140623)
This is the seventh and final part of Natsume's arc in my post-Lilly-neutral-end mosaic, ' After the Dream '. The events referred to here can be compared to accounts such as the one in Hanako's arc, here , and also that in Hideaki's, here . Natsume 7: Chaos (T +60) My few remaining readers these da...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: The most suprising thing)
It's a very pleasantly written para-route; a route involving two main characters other than Hisao, from inception to climax. I like chess. I like Hanako and Shizune. Although there is a line in the infamous epilogue that goes something like 'Shizune is exited by this'. I laughed because it could hav...

Interlude (20140623)
"Who needs epaulettes?" I say mockingly into the dry, empty, cigarette-stained atmosphere deep below Tokyo. You think you have conspiracies, but you are all old men, even if you think you're new. On my imaginary epaulettes are three little platinum buttons, each with five lobes. They are cherry blos...

Re: After the Dream—Natsume's Arc (Part 5b up 20140622)
Well, I'm sure you (and dewelar) are quite right to dislike this part of the mosaic. The good news is that you're not the only ones. :) On the other hand, I've been enjoying it. Of course, it's probably because I've been corrupted by mom's taste in Korean political dramas... :? It's hard to see the...

AtD—Natsume's Arc (Part 6 up 20140622)
This is the sixth part of Natsume's arc in my post-Lilly-neutral-end mosaic, ' After the Dream '. Natsume 6: Statistics (T +16) Here is a family portrait. Dad is tall and thin, old and balding, a bespectacled caricature of the Japanese academic, in formal dress. His hands are folded, and he sits so...
