Re: Iwanako: Mean Time to Breakdown {updated 2/23/2014}
Hmm, that's a good point. I suppose you could wave that away by saying that either Shizune doesn't know about it (which would make it odd that Kenji does, but...) doesn't want to make an even bigger scene in front of Hisao about it (which is sort of out of character,) or is blatantly not allowed to...

Re: Why Hanako Must Be Wearing A Wig
That's purely a POV thing. Clearly if you say who that classmate is, the argument is exposed. I don't really see how mentioning that Hisao is that classmate invalidates the argument at all. The point is still that when putting the routes side by side, Hanako starts improving sooner in her own route...

Re: Why Hanako Must Be Wearing A Wig
Actually Hanako improves better/faster when Hisao is on Lilly's route. Not when you compare the two routes side by side at the same moment in time. Hanako's route a few days after her birthday: Has gone into the city of her own a few days earlier, started a romantic relationship with a classmate an...

Re: Why Hanako Must Be Wearing A Wig
the implication that Hanako improved even more in Lilly's arc while Hisao was somebody else's problem. We don't know that, though. Hanako's own route ends before Lilly ever even gets back from Scotland. Had the story continued, Hanako might have improved better/faster than she does on Lilly's route...

Re: Random KS Discussion
I think it's far more obvious that Kenji x Hisao is the premature ejaculation route. It's obvious. They go up on the roof, share fluids, and at the climax of the moment, Hisao reaches both the highest and lowest points of his existence at Yamaku. And of course, we all know what the last soul-crunchi...

Re: Fanfics - Known Plot vs Plot Discovery?
I usually prefer discovery. *snip* Whether the readers like it or not, I'm not sure, but I have some fun with being unpredictable. That's for sure. :) On my end, I do like writing unpredictability that grows out logically from what we already know. Life is like that—people do things for reasons, ev...

Re: About Shizune and ... Misha
The thing that sucks the most about the situation is how good of a friend Misha really is. She's a sweetheart and she deserves to find love, but the thing about that is that you don't always get what you want from exactly who you want it, and she's had to learn that the hard way. Someone should wri...

Re: Fanfics - Known Plot vs Plot Discovery?
The thing is, your mileage can vary. I felt like Mean Time to Breakdown was a really opaque title for my story, and the role reversal between Iwanako and Hisao was intended to be a twist, but based on reader responses, everybody who clicked on the link immediately knew what it was going to be about...

Interlude (20140714)
You're bringing me into the dark, that's what you're doing. But when you submit to authority, the power of the author, that is what happens at times. I can feel the pain coming. I can feel the waves of hopelessness, but also the inmost will that fights against them. I will not succumb to that which ...

Re: Fanfics - Known Plot vs Plot Discovery?
I feel like a mix is best. A catchy title that grabs the reader's attention and gives a broad idea of the subject, but doesn't give away the details or full direction, allowing development and surprises that go beyond the name of the story. I'm a fan of this approach. For example, 'Developments' by...
