Re: After the Dream—Shizune's Arc/Hideaki's Arc (Complete; U
[Speaking of which, how about that Parfait Club?] First rule: You do not talk about Parfait Club. Second rule: You DO NOT talk about Parfait Club. The correct response to this would of course be... Wahaha!~ :) I loved this bit of Shizune and Misha interaction. For the record, my use of the phrase "...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
I think of the school has having been built in, on and around the ruins of Aoba Castle, with a school gift shop and museum selling souvenirs. :D The reason a school for the physically disabled is set here is that the warlord who built the castle, Masamune Date, was blind in one eye. In fact, his nic...

Re: Random KS Discussion
Perhaps it's a possibility that it's not 'outright lazy wrongness' but the inability to distinguish certain phonemes. Any native English speaker should certainly be able to distinguish grin from green . If we're talking about non native speakers, then they should be forgiven if not in possession of...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
Yeah, people are entitled to their own headcanons. Our argument is about the underlying canon, though, not headcanon. I think it's about drawing psychological conclusions from behaviour expressed incompletely in canon. That debate is fine, but then perhaps it should be under the prolific Random KS ...

Re: Random KS Discussion
Hiragana seems to work pretty well. Anyway, this is not a matter of interlingual subtleties like rising tones that English doesn't encode for or the like. It's outright lazy wrongness. "Reen" and "Rihn" are not that close, any more than nice and noose are. Wahaha!~ as someone might say. I guess the...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
Yeah, people are entitled to their own headcanons. The point about headcanons is that they're in your own head. They aren't in a competition with other people's headcanons. If you took your headcanon out and wrote fanfic or did artwork for it, then it'd be subject to discussion like any other fanfic...

The Underwater Basket Weaving Society (up 20141125)
This one-shot came about as the result of a post by Oscar Wildcat, which was possibly (Edit: I've been corrected :) ) not at all prompted by Broomhead's use of the phrase here . The phrase is of course much older; I remember it being used pejoratively in academic circles in the 1970s and it probabl...

Rin rhymes with bin. :| It all depends on which language you are using to pronounce it with. Japanese (Where the game is set) = Rin (Wean) The I is pronounced like the e in we. English (Trade Language) = Rin (Bin) The I is pronounced like... the i in bin. Close, but not quite true. I can't find an ...

Re: Sakura—The Kenji Saga (Part 3-3c up 20141125)
I've made it clear how much I'm in love with this Kenji route. I just want to reiterate how fantastic his journey's been. Man, this chapter just felt so, so good. Every word had my undivided attention. The line about Kenji's game being self improvement made me grin a lot. I don't think there could ...

Your mistake was in going off-topic: you answered the question about which character you DIDN'T get most attached to. Tsk.BMFJack wrote:I should have expected the Hanabros to come out of the woodworks to eat my face off for not proclaiming an undying love for Hanako =p

Sakura—The Kenji Saga (Part 3-3c up 20141125)
This is the end of the third instalment of the third part of the redacted archive of Kenji Setou. Kenji develops a new kind of vision. Kenji 3: Distant Drums—Year Three (October 2017-January 2018) The quiet years were coming to an end, though I did not know it. But the neighbours were restless, and...

Re: Random KS Discussion
I'd say that Munchenhausen's plan was a success. I'd say Charmant's plan was a success. I know for a fact he knows the correct pronunciation, he's purely trolling and it worked. Munch was only playing on the fact of past wars. Char was trying to start another. And Broom seems like he just loves sna...

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Ch.54 posted 11/
Y'know something? Your ability to detail characters has grown a lot since I first started reading Developments . The Newspaper Club people are more real, the Hanako-Emi relationship is more believable. And more Taka-Taka, Natsume and Naomi too! It's a lovely chapter, despite the cloak of gloom that ...
