Re: Katawa DLCs

This thread feels like it's going the way of the KS Achievements thread... :D

03-01 Hakamichi

To: Nakai H. Operative Nakai, this is Agent Setou. When you discuss Hakamichi, you cannot help but sneer at what you call her authoritarian streak. Are you so liberal that you fail to recognize true leadership? Hakamichi is off-limits. You might feel she is the leader of the feminist conspiracy but...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Shades of Distinction)

Hey, if we're looking for a pre-release fic to discuss, can we do From Shizune's Perspective? It's probably my favorite pre-release fic. It was a brilliantly written/edited narrative in the sense that Shizune, Shiina/Misha and Emi all came across as strong, well-defined characters with natural and ...

Re: Katawa DLCs

I want the Feminist Conspiracy Kenji Protagonist Pack, with the OST and all. I'll even stump out for the Lockbox version that contains whisky samples and a key to the roof.

03-05 Tezuka

To: Nakai H. Operative Nakai, this is Agent Setou. When you told me to arrange a meeting with Tezuka, I was suspicious. Surely, he is one of us, but his argot is strange and his meaning impenetrable. However, he is a great asset because of his status as a sleeper agent in the feminist housing compl...

Kenji's Secret Files (upd 20220525 'RedJack')

Sometimes, I did not know what I wrote, or what I heard, or who asked me what. All I know is that I would wake up sweating, terrified, and my local printer would have material spewing from it, and a new document would have spawned. Many years later, I stumbled upon those insane documents. I will ke...

Pure anthracite comedy, to me. I like your writing, especially this particular piece.
Does that mean something's wrong with me? Perhaps my heart needs... adjustment.

Glad to see this happening. It's always nice to see how a given ending can be resolved in different ways, by different authors. Welcome to the KS Forums!

Re: Why does shizune hate lily?

Maybe it's Shizune telling Lilly that Misha loves her and she's wondering if she can return that love or not. I can definitely see that being the case -- to me, Shizune looks somewhat sad in the picture (especially her eyes). If it is a confession, it's one she knows is doomed to be rejected. It co...

Re: Why does shizune hate lily?

There's a good piece of fanart showing Shizune using tactile to talk to Lilly (Lilly appears shocked by what she's being told) Are we sure that's what's being depicted? Shizune seems to be lazily playing with Lilly's palm (in a yuri sort of way, thus the shock), to me. Of course that could just be ...

Re: Word of Mouth

Needs paragraphing; easier to read for the old folks around here. Seems like a fairly solid prologue, at least enough to make one want to read the main story. :)

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Shades of Distinction)

Well, I don't have the details for most such stories present anymore, but for one of my own I listed the discrepancies here . I think there are plenty of stories published after the release that have greater deviations from canon. Whether or not it is a good read, I'll leave up to you. ... Edit: Si...

Mirage_GSM wrote:How do you define "stood up to the test of time"?
Remains consistent with the full release and is (arguably, which is the point of the discussion) still a good read in the context of the full release.

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Shades of Distinction)

I wonder how many of the fanfics dated before the full release have stood up to the test of time.
Actually, I also wonder how many of the really early ones (there are a few pre-Act One?) survive that test.

Anyone up for some research?
