I like Misha. I had breakfast with her the other day. :
(And thank you, BMFJack, for that succinct explanation.)

Re: Anyone else hate Misha?
Buuuut… I'd say that for a few decades now at least, the primary use of "mute" is that every remote control, TV, stereo, and media player (device and software) in existence has a "mute" button, which controls a setting and is therefore implicitly a choice and not an inherent limitation. Seems to me...

Re: Dancing: A Miki pseudo-route (updated 1/3)
By that logic "betterer" would be the comparative of "better" You simply cannot compare a comparative. If you have a thing that is worse than another and a third thing that's worse than the two of them it's still "worse" and not "worser". Oh yes you can. See [ this ] for example. Edit: why bother, ...

It's interesting how this thread has ended up being about Shizune rather than Misha.

Re: Anyone else hate Misha?
Your Google-fu is insufficiently powerful. Google "voice-off" and ASL together for better hits. Sometimes "voices-off". I added ASL to the search term, but everything I found was about immersion in ASL classes. I can't find a single source that uses it in the sense you said is the standard. It wasn...

Interlude (20150105)
"An interesting release, author-san. I had forgotten that such documents still existed." I look up from where I've dozed off in the unseasonable heat. That is what happens when it is too cold and you try to make it warmer, and forget to limit the warming. "Greetings, Natsume, and a happy new year to...

Re: Dancing: A Miki pseudo-route (updated 1/3)
"Worse" is already the comparative. I was thinking about keeping "worse" instead of "worser" during the writing phase, but I think "worser" just sounds nicer, even though it isn't exactly a real word. Unless you count Shakespeare's usage of it as law. As in, "This was the most unkindest cut of all....

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
Something weird happened when I played Shizune's route--I started thinking of her as being a much sadder, lonelier person than perhaps she was intended to come across as, and I can't get rid of that perception, or shake the feeling that even after her good ending, she still had a lot to work throug...

Re: Happy Birthday Katawa Shoujo!
Happy birthday again, Katawa Shoujo!
And one more round of thanks for all the devs who made this possible.
If any of them were to drop by my neck o' the woods, I'd foist some 12-year Scotch on them.
From Kenji's stash, of course.

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
I just can't put Suriko's headcanon, if you want to call it that, on the same level as Scissorlips'. Scissorlips had nothing to do with the creation of those characters, whereas Suriko did; that's why I hold it to a much higher degree of canonicity. Even if the man himself denies it's canon, it's s...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
IBut if we still use Pedagogy to put all other dev fiction on the same level of fan fiction, then we should also disregard the canonicity of the Class 3-3 picture that told us Suzu and most of the class' names to begin with. According to Aura it wasn't meant to be canon, but he admitted a decent ar...

Re: Anyone else hate Misha?
"Mute" is generally considered to be an offensive term in the Deaf community. Granted, there is some movement to try and reclaim it in the same way that the LGBTQ community reclaimed the Q (queer) but it's a fairly recent thing. The correct term to use is 'voice off'. Hmmm. I wasn't aware of this. ...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
Suriko's route is nice, but if you consider that to be THE canon on Miki and Suzu then you also have to consider Aura's take on Mutou and Hisao as canon... Nah, that's not quite logical. Aura wrote his eight pieces as 'writing exercises'. Suriko expressly stated this was non-canon. The others all h...
