Re: Yet another one-shot thread (updated 2019-09-06)

I've done a lot of short fics with incomplete build-up, but I think it's good practice to leave some clues if the set-up presented seems out of character. Lilly's never been the sort to dive into work at all; she seems better at getting other people to do the work. Hisao at this point should be awar...

Lilly's obvious rejoinder shall remain unsaid. But there's a kind of out-of-character feel about this fic, although it is intense.

Re: Time is Dancing and Other Stories [08/28/2019]

That was a good read. Apart from it being about Lelouch (whom I've never felt belonged in there despite his cameo in the class background photo), it was a lovely piece of psychological development and melancholic prose—and some poetry. Thanks!

I'm honoured to be the effective cause of so many manly tears. I can only say that I had good material to work from and with. :)

Aha, that was FUN. The Emi pirate trope is canon, but you've run away with it into utter hilarity.

That is a good Yuuko story. There's a lot of extra 'telling rather than showing' though, compared to your usual output. Other than that, very nice.

For example:
“No no, it’s okay, it’s okay!” Yuuko frantically tried to assuage Hisao's concern.

On a narrative level, Hisao is describing his instantaneous reflections when he thinks about the fact that he's spending an evening with Kenji.

On a metanarrative level, this signals you're out of choices, having decided to not make choices throughout.

Re: The Sands of Time

Aha, that's a wonderful bout of 'subverting the tropes'. And a salt-and-pepper mass media Nakai. :D Only one thing that made me reflexively wince: "The staffed wanted a quick write-up on your visit." Other than that, the title seems to promise more, and such, should it appear, would of course be int...

Well, that was fun.
And I think it is one of the VERY few stories pairing Shizune and Kenji :-)
Are you mocking me?! I wrote some of those stories! :D

Re: New here

Hi there!

Every character has weirdness, or as one wise person once put it:

"You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person."

That said, I'm fascinated by the Hakamichis.
