Re: The problem with Shizune
... I thought it was fairly obvious that Shizune shares many of Jigoro 's traits. Even Hisao manages to pick up on this. I don't quite see it. Jigoro is dismissive of Shizune (in many ways) and very critical about appearances. About the only thing they have in common is that they don't really say a...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread
I actually have a scene somewhere in which Hisao's parents are chatting with one of his friends and recounting their meetings with Hisao's lady friends... and Hisao's dad makes this terrible joke... I laugh, and then I almost choke when he continues, “Story of Hisao’s life, stubborn fellow. They’re ...

Re: The problem with Shizune
It seems to me that Shizune got a lot better at helping people after Hisao came into her life. My interpretation is that Hisao provided a vital supporting, "maternal", Ying aspect to her life that was missing with the absence of her mother. That's a very interesting take on it. I was thinking along...

Re: Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (15—'Takoyaki') (20150211)
Please tell me the most recent one-shot is considered cannon in the After the Dream-verse. Please say it is so. Because if it is cannon, I think that was the shortest amount of time elapsed from Yamaku to a "happy ending" you've ever done. That was an incredibly sweet and enjoyable one-shot that ha...

Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (15—'Takoyaki') (20150211)
Like many folk-tales, this one is weird and incoherent, and jumps around quite a bit. Somewhat like a few Japanese macaques I have known, but that’s neither here nor there. Just enjoy the ride, if you please. Takoyaki Once upon a time, there lived a poor fisherman of Aomori prefecture with the fami...
