Meeting Thoughts, Next Reading, Next Meeting

So far, I think the range of opinion on Guestdude's 'Going The Distance' is that it's light entertainment, possibly a bit heavy on flat stereotyping (which is technically a contradiction in terms), and it doesn't work so well if considered as a heavier piece because it doesn't have sufficient develo...

Interlude (20150430)

"Okay, here's the deal," says the nasal voice from behind me. I turn, irritated. My train of thought has been broken just as I was about to proceed on a journey. The man in the sober suit and garish scarf is leaning nonchalantly against my doorjamb. His glasses wink at me in the stale morning light....

Re: Firing Blanks - One Shots

That is a beautiful read. I like both your Shizune (sharp, still socially awkward but aware of it and owning it) and your Hanako (sharp, still bitter but aware of it and owning it). Argh! "Why can't I write like that!" was my first response. I'll leave it at that for now.

...your better half notes that you're wearing socks in bed, and you have to avoid calling her Emi for the rest of the evening. I actually called mine Shizune once, when she was telling me to hurry up and finish my work. :D Speaking of Emi, I was walking around in this new shopping area downtown whe...

Play the game without being able to see anything!
Audio cues only, and tactile by VR rig. And if you had Saki's spinocerebellar ataxia... welp.

Re: Miki: Fragments (Ch.13 Posted 28th April 2015)

One thing I forgot to mention earlier: Ten years in jail seems a bit much for what was basically an accident. That's what the Japanese usually give to murderers. My sorce is: Here Article 205. (Injury Causing Death) A person who causes another to suffer injury resulting in death shall be punished b...

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread

SCA can be hereditary. I don't imagine Saki willingly choosing to have kids. :( She could always foster or adopt a child, It really depends if she herself has seen love one die to the illness. She wouldn’t want to put that unhappiness of a child I don’t think. >adopt children >Japan Uhhh... Iirc, i...

Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (21—'Warmth') (20150428)

I don't know where this continuity came from. It strikes me that AtD would have been very different if any of this were 'true'. Warmth—Five Stages “H-Hisao?” I look up, my musings on polymer chains disturbed, and yank the earplugs out of my ears. A cautious eye is peeking around the corner of my st...

Re: Miki: Fragments (Ch.13 Posted 28th April 2015)

I like it so far. You do need to edit just a very little, and perhaps learn to use semi-colons or commas or something to break up some of the longer multi-clause bits. But it's all quite entertaining. Here are some from your latest chapter. The other chapters might need a bit of treatment too. :) 1....

Re: The Official KS Headcanon Thread

If that's the case, then who would Saki lose her virginity to, exactly? :o Unless the school’s in the middle of nowhere I’m sure she could find a boy to do the horizontal monster mash with, I do think she regrets acting so rashly though, in hindsight she would have lost it to someone she loves. Lik...

Re: Favourite artworks - reprise.

I'd love to see her on my roof... my roof is very slippery So she would slip, fall, die and then you put on her coat and become the new Rin Tezuka? When you phrase it like that, I suddenly feel impulsed to go up there and secure some footholds on my roof If you still have your arms, you need handho...
