I still recommend reading the VN though. It's not like it will take that much time.
what is a VN anyway?
Short for visual novel, which is what Katawa Shoujo is :)

Re: Side characters

Aye, I see where you're coming from there. Too many characters would definitely overcrowd things... I must say, I do enjoy the way all the secondary and tertiary characters have spread out into Fanon! That way if something comes along ghat you really don't like, you can sleep easy knowing that it's...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

I'm tempted to try the running work outs. My cardio is god awful. Infact 90% of my school's cardio is god awful. Even though i have the free spirit to want to run, i never seem to do it whether it's out of fear, or just plain laziness Well, no time like the present ;) I couldn't recommend starting ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

And about the cold - it's bearable. We had the exactly same weather in early march (yes, even no snow around), but then suddenly HUGE masses of snow dropped from the sky in like two days, and it stayed cold until this week. I quit running in September because I was afraid I catch cold, but as I see...

Re: A very crunchy drawings thread

"Rin's tortoise and other children's stories" That right there is a book I would read 10/10 Great work, mate :D Also what setup are you using for that picture? Hehe, I wasn't sure what to call it, but I think I'd read it too :P I used GIMP, which I do have experience using but only for picture modi...

Phahaha, yeah, it did start to look pre...tty ridiculous :L
And yikes, that'd be horrible to have to live with :/ Think my sympathy for (albeit fictional) yandere just went through the roof - imagine dealing with that :(

Re: A very crunchy drawings thread

Got this idea from one of Munchenhausen's posts about Rin having a tortoise in the 'Disabled Animals' thread - I just thought it was glorious :L It's also my first picture done not using a tangible medium, which as it turns out, is bloody difficult. Hope you guys like it :) (And once more, any sugge...

Re: Recommend a VN

Cool, I definitely will play it then. And yeah, there's only one good ending, but it's so worth getting. Mia is really cute, and despite some horrible mental illness, she does have only the best intentions and wants you to be happy. The fact that the protagonists centers large aspects of his life a...

Re: Say Hisao's parents couldn't afford Yamaku...

Aye, the point about the nurses in schools is something I hadn't really considered, but it would make sense. And I guess not, he only has difficulties with his heart of a fairly serious nature on two routes, and on one of those he's not even at Yamaku. The only thing could be that, as he's not at a ...

Say Hisao's parents couldn't afford Yamaku...

In the VN, Hisao's decision is made for him that he's going to Yamaku Academy, one which he initially takes great umbrage to but later on... Well, we all know. Anyway, if his parents couldn't afford to send him to Yamaku, what would he have done? His parents couldn't homeschool him, we know that muc...

Re: what are the best quotes from the game?

I find Hisao's dark sarcasm to be quite amusing :P Just been going through Rin's route again (it's been ages since I've gone through any route, it's always nice to return to it and think 'THAT'S why I like this so much!' AGH, digression) and where Hisao goes 'I'll be more likely than not dead before...

Re: Recommend a VN

Juniper's Knot is a good short VN to play if you have about an hour spare - the music's good, the artwork is great and the ending left me all fuzzy... but kinda frustrated. Where in KS there is some kind of closure on all the routes, this did end a bit too soon for my liking. Was nice though, and k...

Re: Waitaminute... Misha HAS to be bisexual.

I have a suspicion that the gender binary being breached pretty much 'crashes' the Kinsey Scale, as it's entirely based on likings for same/opposite gender - if you don't consider yourself to have a gender, or identify yourself as both, I'd imagine that's like division by 0.
