Re: Journey of a Non-weeaboo
Weeaboo's existed as a derogatory term towards (predominantly white American) Japanophiles, especially those that have never been to Japan and don't actually know the culture, for quite a few years now. What I do know of the culture (and I'm not talking about used panty vending machines) makes me di...

Re: Endorphin Rush - An Emilogue (UPDATED 5/10/14)
AFAIK the character isn't actually immortal, but he appears in, oh, about a 80-100 year timespan in Hanako's storyline without aging.
And, yes, it's a dead Hanako and Hisao that write the letter.

I know nothing about that.SpunkySix wrote:Depeche Mode puts me in a KS mood, I guess.
I definitely didn't write a fic which abused Depeche Mode references in a KS context. No, sir.

Yes, and I linked to that thread.
I think I've come to the conclusion that it probably works 100%, too, otherwise she may well have glasses.

However, they're far less likely to change the older someone is, or the changes will be much smaller.

Re: Hanako may not be who we think! (ENORMOUS SPOILERS)
My guess is that, because there's no signs of lens damage, and it's not nerve damage, it would be muscular damage that she would have sustained, and visual therapy would be successful to redevelop those muscles. Until that point, she'd have trouble focusing on things, and may be prone to headaches. ...

http://ks.renai.us/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1411 Mind you, that doesn't say they both work properly, but... Also, IIRC, we see Hanako's right eye in the CGs, and it looks normal. (Well, purple, but otherwise normal.) In any case, if one bad eye were enough to put Hanako in 3-2, Takashi's tinnitus would ...

Re: After the Dream—Others (Rika/Mutou done, Akira5 up 20140
Really, I want everyone to be happy, but Hanako and Akira are the two that I most want to see get their happy ending (in any story), and it's sad to see Akira being denied that happy ending due to circumstance. (That probably has something to do with me identifying with Hanako at some level, and Aki...

OK, I actually... saw that coming, and they're not actually related, but... squicks me out a touch still.
Poor Akira, though.

Re: Endorphin Rush - An Emilogue (UPDATED 5/10/14)
Also, "plain vanilla" + "trauma thrust upon them" isn't that far removed from being a description of Hanako , either. Is it more interesting to have such trauma manifest outwardly or inwardly? :) Emi is over here asking me if I want chocolate or caramel sauce on my plain vanilla. It is very distrac...

Re: What if the 6 girls had attended Hisao's high school?
And, Children's Town is about 300 feet from Sakuragawa Elementary, so maybe there was some sort of setup where they let her continue attending her old school if she went there. From the Children's Town website: In order to support the re-integration of the family and self-support of children, we wil...
