There's a fanfic that goes with that one, I believe: http://ks.renai.us/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=6712#p112917
(Warning, it's Banda. While that one doesn't do it, most of his fics (including most of what's in that thread) tend towards making the entire cast transgender and then fetishizing it.)

Re: Random KS Discussion
Lilly was blind from birth, though, and likely doesn't have a functioning visual cortex. There are some surgeries that use modern technology to replace the eye entirely, but they're dependent on a functioning visual cortex, and attempts to apply them to people without one can end badly. (There are s...

Re: Favourite artworks - reprise.
But during one of the Hanako birthday scenes (I'm not sure if it was in her's or Lilly's route or both) it is mentioned that Lilly is the older of the two despite her birthday being around two months before the start of the school year (unless this is an error in the story), so Emi could be 19 even...

Re: Favourite artworks - reprise.
Remember: Emi's 19 and looks like she's 14. Besides, does fanart really have to make sense? Well, she looks like she's 10 in some of the CGs, but I digress. That's... not exactly how aging works. I'm not budging on her being 18, though. The third year of high school in Japan, normally, students tur...

Re: Favourite artworks - reprise.
Is it just me, or does that Emi look like she's 5 or 6?
She didn't lose her legs until she was 10 (based on Japanese school law (putting her at 18 (not 19, as her birthday is before the school year changeover), combined with her birthday and the accident being 8 years prior).

Re: Favourite artworks - reprise.
The artist needs a bit more practice drawing waiflike figures, I'd say. That almost looks like Rika's palette on Misha, to be honest.

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: A Future)
Basically, my goal was to start discussion of BEFFs... and Salvage wasn't the one I wanted, but when I PMed Sea, it was the one I could find (and it definitely was not good), and I was hoping maybe he knew of the fic I was looking for. The discussion started anyway, and then I found what I was looki...

Re: Random KS Discussion
Hisao: "Not everyone in Yamaku's disabled…" Which I only learned a handful of days ago. I give silent thanks to Shizune and Misha for their stream of information about how the school works. Because of them, I found out that since the school will accept practically anybody suffering from non-mental ...

Re: Random KS Discussion
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_disorder Essentially, a neurological disorder (epilepsy, narcolepsy, dyslexia all count) isn't necessarily a mental disorder. As far as Hanako... well, that's a stronger argument, but I'm wondering if the threshold for a diagnosis would be higher in Japan than in ...

Re: The "feels" bazaar.
It's fairly obviously Shizune, especially given the references to deafness and sign language.

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Broken Dolls)
I'll note that I actually went ahead and read Thank God For Hangovers, too, just to get context for everything. But, it's out of the scope of this thread, so... The story doesn't quite mesh for me. There's a platoon of reasonably well fleshed out OCs that I could easily see going to Yamaku, although...

Re: Searching up "Katawa Shoujo"
See-saw swingin' with the boys in the school With your feet flyin' up in the air Singin' hey diddle-diddle with the kitty in the middle You be swingin' like you just didn't care Also, fun fact, Google personalizes your results based on what it knows about you (across its many services). Basically, i...
