I actually have some thoughts on it, but they definitely count as negative.
I do suspect that the discussion isn't going to be particularly productive for the most part, though, given that everything that really needs to be said has already been said in the fic's thread.

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: A Future)
And now to comment on my own recommendation. Inspirational speeches are always cheesy. Always . And, really, I could see a Hanako that's been hardened by life (and, let's face it, even with Lilly and Hisao's support, she's pretty fucked in Japan) having that mentality very easily. Shizune's absence ...

Re: Favourite artworks - reprise.
Ah, I didn't realize the whole futanari thing was actually an attempt to depict an intersex condition, I figured it was just cases of, assigned the wrong gender at birth, transitioned, but didn't get SRS.

Re: Favourite artworks - reprise.
Banda's fairly quick about having all his transgender characters whip it out near the beginning of the story, though.
Usually.

Re: Random KS Discussion
My headcanon is that Miki's a lesbian (or maybe bisexual), too, so she should know better than to call people "gaylords", but... it's Miki.

Re: Ask!
Using it in Misha's scene, which is supposed to be awkward, I can excuse.
When I saw it in Shizune's second H-scene, though, I facepalmed.

Re: Meet the Hakamichis –A USM Summer Series Updated 6/30
And, actually, "Hakamichi's" as a possessive is fine (and there is a "Mr. Hakamichi's" in there that's correct), but using it as a plural is the problem.

Parental Advisory: The Following Chapter has been rated YG-17. This chapter contains Yuri Goodness for readers ages 17 and up. Viewer Discretion is advised. (Which, considering you were supposed to be 18 to download the VN, shouldn’t be a problem.) Then what the hell do you consider YG-18? li...

Re: Ask!
Speaking of overused phrases, how did A22's abuse of "pistoning" in H-scenes ever get past the editors?

Yep. First use of "gaylord" in a KS context: http://ks.renai.us/viewtopic.php?f=52&t ... rd#p103281 (links directly to a chapter in A pseudo-pseudo Suzu route, you might want to read it first)

Re: Random KS Discussion
And now I'm thinking of how Clinton and Miki would interact.
"God damn, what a fuckin' gaylord. And how come he gets an awesome robot hand, and I don't?"

Re: Random KS Discussion
So-called "normal" students can go to Yamaku, too, and IIRC Misha goes because she's studying to be a sign language teacher, and presumably wanted to immerse herself in it. As I said, Hanako is there because the best treatment for her mental damage is to put her in an environment where she won't be ...

Re: Random KS Discussion
However, her immediate mental issues are ones that Yamaku does have experience with treating in other accident victims, and it's a population that is less likely to judge her on her appearance. It really is the best fit for her even if she doesn't technically meet their requirements.

Re: Random KS Discussion
Mind you, outside of Japan, she's got a better chance of having a healthy life. She's not going to be free from being judged for her appearance, but she probably won't be forced into being a shut-in. Is it strange that I think Hanako and Claire from Questionable Content could get along really well? ...

Re: Random KS Discussion
The trick is that the right place for Kenji isn't Yamaku, even with his blindness.
It's a facility that specializes in mental health, really. And Yamaku explicitly isn't that.
