Re: Limits of Fanfiction - What is appropriate?

Yuuko and Kenji, and Meiko and Nurse actually have more basis in canon than Natsume and Naomi. They're at least hinted at. (And I recall reading something from TheHivemind saying that he had to tone down the hints towards Meiko and Nurse...) Natsume and Naomi are entirely based on one piece of art -...

From the Ask thread:

Yes, it has been fixed. It OUGHT to have been fixed in time for the FR release, but... the less said about that, the better. :oops:
So, not what's been released, but for future releases.

Re: Limits of Fanfiction - What is appropriate?

Mind you, Closure was meant to be a pre-release fic, and release details contradicted it massively. So, that would be like someone making a burger before it was really known what a burger was, just that it had beef in it, and had vegetables, starch, and a sauce.

Re: Limits of Fanfiction - What is appropriate?

Yes, if we want to, we can define fanfiction so broadly that just about anything can fit under it, and then based on that definition we could become a hugbox where everybody belongs and nobody is challenged on the validity of their concept, but I don’t really think that results in a productive envi...

At least that Saki was redeemable.

Rikabro's Rika route, I actually thought the neutral and good endings were switched.

Colossal, although not as bad as Rika.

OK, that answers my question. (It was the gravestone.)

Hmm, I'll need to figure out something else then.

For those of us that can't read kanji, what is Emi's father's name?

Things are definitely going to get uglier from here, that's for sure. But, not grimdark ugly, just dark ugly.

Like I said earlier...

Chapter 2 - Surface Rust (v1.01)

Damn it. I check my heartbeat briefly, just to be sure I’m not going to keel over. It’s been a few months since a fight with Hanako caused a flutter, but I can never be too safe. Luckily, everything’s fine. With my mortality out of the way, I call up Yuuko. Looks like I’m crashing on her and Kenji’...

Re: Precipitation- A Molly Pseudo Route . Update 8/12/13

Working on a list of edits. Consider avoiding British-isms like that, especially if they aren't used in the VN itself. (Hanako's route, and IIRC Lilly's as well, had some Australian phrasing creep in, but generally they stuck to words that meant the same thing in all dialects of English.)

SATA enclosures are dirt cheap. Or just get one of the adapters that has a 44-pin, 40-pin, and SATA port on the end of a USB cable, and comes with a power adapter.

Re: Iwanako: Mean Time to Breakdown {updated 11/20/2013}

Hmm. I'd actually say it's not that she doesn't care how others perceive her, just that she assumes the worst automatically. Basically, she's more jaded than even Iwanako.

But, Hanako is clearly still capable of selfless concern, so I don't think Blank Mage's point changes much.

Re: Iwanako: Mean Time to Breakdown {updated 11/20/2013}

Not only that, but Hanako detests pity herself. Being able to care for Iwanako may actually be one of the healthier relationships that Hanako could have. But, they need to be open with each other about what's happened in their lives, and Hanako struggles with being open. Not sure about Iwanako, but ...
