Developments, Chapter 45
When I get to the main building, my first stop is the cafeteria. Even if Lilly won't come to the tea room, she does have to eat, and since she didn't come with me to the convenience store there's a chance she'll be here. However, when I enter, there are only a couple of boys that I don't recognize, ...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Mendācium)
Bleh, after finally cracking my gmail accounts password out of my phone I have access to my account again! Anywho, I'm interested in joining, what time July 6th, or can I just show up at any point tomorrow and attend the meeting? Jump in anytime you like. Yeah, it's not a meeting in the traditional...

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 43 up 6/
Hey, more new readers! Welcome, and glad you're enjoying the story so far! It's just a guess, but maybe he thinks she is the second best character (from a storytelling view) but completely not the type of girl he'd go for. If so that would be close to my own thinking. yep, that. She's a very interes...

Re: Kenji
I think we all need to take a few deep breaths here. Honestly, I don't think anyone is necessarily saying that the traditional Japanese system is better , just that it's different , and that it comes with its own set of positives and negatives, and that every system has its own tradeoffs that it mak...

Eh, I wasn't around for much of the flogging, so I'll give it a lash or two, but I'm not about to subject myself to reading it again. Once was quite enough.Mirage_GSM wrote:I guess I'll skip that one. This dead horse has been flogged enough...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: A Future)
Wow, over a day and nobody's said anything? I enjoyed this story quite a bit, and am honestly surprised it hasn't gotten more attention than it has. I was a little disappointed that the later relationship with Emi got short shrift, but I also understand that it's not what the piece was about. One of...

Does Emi's running mantra from Developments count? I suppose it might: air . . . wind . . . ground . . . track . . . . . . . . . . . . will . . . not . . . hold . . . back . . . . . . . . . . . . hear . . . smell . . . feel . . . see . . . . . . . . . . . . set . . . these . . . thoughts . . . free ...

Re: Favourite artworks - reprise.
I'm not budging on her being 18, though. The third year of high school in Japan, normally, students turn 18 during that school year. So, having skipped one year, Emi will turn 19 during her third year, due to the year she skipped... but her birthday is canonically 03-14. The graveyard scene is clea...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: A Future)
Damn it, just now I finished reading Salvage, which ... yikes, I remembered it being better than that. The Hisao in that story, talk about a snarky and oblivious smartass. Heh, I already read Salvage as well (couldn't sleep last night), and yeah, it was pretty bad. I think every single canon charac...

Re: Random KS Discussion
I wonder if Yamaku would accept people who can taste what they see and the like. I can't remember what the condition is called but its pretty interesting. Must be pretty hard for them to play games. you mean like looking at a chocolate and feeling the chocolaty taste in your mouth? that's more like...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Broken Dolls)
All said I think it's a mistake to read this story (or any of Kosher's stories for that matter) and expect serious drama or realistic relationships. They're a bit like Hoitash's: meant to entertain, zany, witty and sometimes hilarious. Well, humor is generally subjective. I like almost everything o...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Now Reading: Broken Dolls)
Which...may or may not be further than I read, which was the scene at graduation where cripple-fetish-guy's ex-girlfriend returns and is going to marry him...which...you know, screw it. I don't remember, and I'm not sure I want to. This story was a big old bunch of WTF, and not in a fun way. I've r...

So its 24:01, STILL COUNTS! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! P.S.: Link up Hmmm, just a boundary note: what constitutes 'Broken Dolls'? I found myself reading all the way to the nice prequel that loops back to the beginning. :) That's further than I read. I...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 6/18)
Enjoying this so far, but I mainly posted here to comment that I find it interesting that we both have side characters named Noriko that are friends with one of the April Fools characters (yours with Saki, mine with Rika). I doubt anyone will confuse the two, though

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Chapter 44 up 6/
People have already stated that something about this chapter feels off, and my own amateur opinion is that Emi folded to Hanako's logic rather quickly, when we had already established that Emi is a master at self deception. You're right: Emi wouldn't fold...unless Emi wanted to fold. Going back to ...
