I'll think that many people still find it hard to accept that folks who can't see or hear, or are missing arms and legs, are average folks. They have many of the same concerns and emotions as the rest of us.

My buddy's tied up between work in RL, SC2 and WoW. And he's a doc, so his empathy level is as low as they come. (Death of patient? Paperwork, to cite one example.)

Well, I did speculate awhile back that she and Hanako would probably stay together after HS. I can see Lilly inviting Hanako to come live with her at college and afterwards as a live-in companion. At least until Hanako could get on her feet and make a life for herself. I've seen quite a few stories...
