Re: Katawa Shoujo Discussion
Large area burns can have some fairly serious effects, in many cases. The main problem is water retention issues (that is, you can't sweat through severely burned skin). This seems to pretty thorough: http://www.burn-recovery.org/long-term-treatment.htm (The first two paragraphs only apply to Hanak...

Re: Disturbing Questions about Yamaku
I can see her turning to alcohol or drugs to deaden the pain. Based on...What? She's shown no tendency toward drug abuse or alcoholism (and no, her drunken birthday doesn't count). @Fyn: I expect better. The writer had no problem seeing Hanako in despair (you'd know this if you completed the game) ...

Re: Disturbing Questions about Yamaku
People do kill themselves when they feel they've got nothing worth living for. I could see it as a possibilty if Lily or Hisao had never come into her life. I mean, who else was there? Not always. And she has something to live for, even without those two. Her parents died keeping her alive. To kill...

Re: Disturbing Questions about Yamaku
I don't see Hanako as suicidal either The signs of suicide can easily be hidden. The guy who took photos of the starvation in Africa hanged himself 6 months after he returned to America. Everyone was taken by surprise because he was proud of opening the eyes of the world. He felt the guilt about li...

Nice. I love that photo.
So do you have to finish Shizune's arc before you get it in your game gallery?

Re: Disturbing Questions about Yamaku
Maybe its all those years spent as a Star Trek fan, but I enjoy poking through a story, putting random bits and pieces together to figure out how the universe works. Its fun What else are we gonna talk about? How cute Emi is, or yet another "Hankao gives me the feels!" thread? As others have said, I...

Re: Emi Ibarazaki's past encounters...
Hanako going full on panic mode with everybody staring as Emi tugs her along (ignorance is bliss). Kenji in the background, taking note that the females are using the rooftop as headquarters and have the high ground. Insert plan to ruin Emi's/Hanako's/Rin's weekend. That's why she rushes Hanako thr...

Re: Emi Ibarazaki's past encounters...
Well, we could just set it during Lily's two week trip home. Hanako is feeling lonely and goes to find a quiet place to hide besides her room or the library. Emi starts yammering away at her so fast that Hanako is too shocked to panic or try to run away. And the next thing she knows, Emi has her by ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Discussion
This is a discussion thread so no worry´s, but they do say in the game that Yamaku dose not take student´s whit problems other then physical. (And "normal" people that can afford to go their.) Rin actually reminds me of Hotaru from Samurai Deeper Kyo, the manga not the anime. Which struck me as odd...

Re: Emi Ibarazaki's past encounters...
Actually, if anything I think Hanako and Emi could have a nice bond/friendship. But then again, I'm an optimist (but a pragmatist in combat XD) Well while Hisao is off screwing around with Rin or Shizune, someone has to step up for Hanako after Lily leaves. I still like the idea of Emi encountering...

Re: Emi Ibarazaki's past encounters...
That's what this thread was originally about? Emi's past conquests? Well, this may be trying to hard to get the thread back on topic but why do I see Miki and Emi having a possibility? Because it'd be awesome. QUICK, SET SAIL FOR MIKIxEMI! The angry sex possibilities are damn near endless. "Y...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Discussion
The hard part about her as a character is that there's so little feedback from her. No "I love you", and very few signs of actual affection. And what little there is is very subtle. She mostly just lets you hang out with her. One of the few really sweet moments is near the end, where she turns up so...

Re: A summary of my experience with Katawa Shoujo
Sorry to come down on you so hard, or to seem to lack a sense of humor. Just a lot of us are a bit over protective and sensitive about the game and its characters.

Re: Emi Ibarazaki's past encounters...
It boggles my mind how anyone could mistreat someone as sweet as Hanako. But then I don't spend much time around children... And yes, self-esteem issues can be a miserable experience. Your reasonable mind can tell you sometimes that your being irrational, but then all it takes is one wrong word from...
