Re: Does your favourite heroine reflect yourself?

Hmmm. A shy, introverted person with a bad self image thanks to past episodes of bullying and teasing by peers at school, and only has a very few people to call friends?

Maybe.

Re: If Hanako's scars looked like this...

Indian research tends to get funding from all over, and is generally well regarded worldwide (though, I admit, not nearly as much as, say, research from China). For what it's worth, there are American studies that show much the same thing, though I only have access to them through a university and ...

Re: The truth about Emi's first relationship.

I can see where it would get pretty frustrating for a guy. Especially if they're a sensitive type. Having someone constantly changing the subject, going on about running, or suggesting they go get ice cream when you want to sit down and have a frank talk about your feelings to try and form a closer ...

I think there was some luck involved too. He just managed to catch her on the anniversary of her accident, when her defenses were at their weakest.

Re: If Hanako's scars looked like this...

Anyway, did some Googling... So the reason I linked directly to a peer reviewed paper on burn scars is that most of the Google image results are definitely makeup or photoshop (at least one of the images you linked clearly is). The image I referenced is something that dermatological researchers exp...

Pretty much how I saw it. Hisao was just more stubborn. :)

Re: Forgetting about the 'Katawa' part

Wait... There is people who actually think that? Fuck. Unfortunately, if you can think of something really stupid, someone out there probably believes it. Early on and even now, KS gets shit for being about "fucking cripples" not because of the fucking (seriously, there's a whole genre of fucking g...

Re: If Hanako's scars looked like this...

In any case, love is more than physical beauty. Its whats inside that counts.* This is very true, but even in that case, Hanako is still a very attractive girl, despite her scaring. Of course, if her scarring was depicted as more realistic like in the supplied photos, the sight might take time to g...

You post 1.46 times a day. Mirage GSM posts 2.91 times a day. pandaphil posts 19.26 times a day. I post 2.95. Wish someone had brought this up sooner before I suddenly became the bad guy who's ruining the forum. :( I thought I was doing okay managing to stay on the subject of KS in my posts, since ...

Re: If Hanako's scars looked like this...

I believe Hanako's right ear was visible in the CG where she was playing Shizune and there wasn't anything missing as far as I recall. Well crap. Now I have to go back and do another re-write. :( You mean this CG? http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lxgdimttdp1r9k81ko3_500.png apparently, from the lo...

Re: So, is Hanako a Nerd?

Let me rephrase that. She'd work in a field where she could work from home 'when she chose to'. Really, a lot of people work from home, yet that doesn't make them reclusive shut-ins.

Re: If Hanako's scars looked like this...

I seriously doubt theres any way I could be turned off to Hanako, even if they were worse. Peoples reactions to her is another indication that they're probably worse than the illustrations let on. The way students and even teachers treated her when she was young. i.e. recoiling from her rather than ...

Re: If Hanako's scars looked like this...

Their technique of blacking out the eyes certainly doesn't help. Ugh. Zombie face anyone? I tend to agree, the first two photos don't seem too horrible. They're pretty much what I visualize Hanako to be like. I can imagine doctors faced with a scarred 8 year old girl who's just lost her home and fam...
