Glad you liked it, dude! This piece was a little out there for me, so I'm pleased that it hit the mark with someone.Carighan wrote:Oh I like this, this is really nice.

Re: FDA approves new "blindness curing" glasses
Speaking of 'cures', I spotted this on Facebook this evening. Question is, would Rin use them? http://www.redorbit.com/news/health/1112786108/new-bionic-hand-can-feel-021813/ I think, after watching this thread degrade into a violent argument about fixing disabilities, is that it really depends on ...

"On Patrol"
A little different from my normal style. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Your cane sounds a bit like this rain, Lilly. The rain reaches everywhere here. It taps down in big, fat drops, soaking my skin, chilling me to the core. I can remember you. I can remember you. I can remember every aspect of your face, yo...

Re: A Saki-Pseudo Route Continuation (Updated 2/17)
Hmm. Far too many phrases in brackets for my liking. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by brackets. Do you mean parenthetical () or quotes ""? No need to linebreak successive sentences of speech by the same person, especially when the same format is used elsewhere with mulitple speakers...

The Breakfast Club
Fartlek. What a funny word. It’s what I’m doing right now on the track with Miki. She’s stolen me away from Emi this Saturday morning, claiming that she needs to “check up” on my training. Anyway, back to the Fartlek. Swedish for “speed-play,” a fartlek is an interval workout in which you run set in...

FDA approves new "blindness curing" glasses
Not sure if there can really be a thread about this, but I thought people in the forum, especially fans of Lilly, would enjoy this news. http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm339824.htm Currently, it wouldn't work on someone like Lilly (who was genetically blind from birth), b...

Re: Valentines Day wishes
Retoasting from the HBHC. I wrote this a while back, but it's valentines day and I'm sad, so I thought I'd share. I miss you, Nina. I hope I'll see you soon. ----------------------------- I met her over this past summer. It was a classic--I was on a cruise of the mediterranean with my family, and wh...

Re: A Saki-Pseudo Route Continuation (Updated 2/14)
Excuse me what? You shouldn't be turning or lapping in a 100m race. Each straight arm of a running track is 100m long by itself. Haha, you're absolutely right. I guess this is why I play tennis in the spring, not run track. Corrected, and thanks for noticing. Wait, how? Also that's rather suggestiv...

SUMMARY : 5 years in a high-travel job, detached, no life, and with grown depression. Just had 2013 performance review, I told my boss that I hate the job. Awaiting free therapy, change is fucking scary. My uncle's a bit like you. He got out of college, landed a job in Russia as a high-paid GM, and...

The Egg and I
The timer blinks off in my hand. 00:00. Wait. That’s not a lap. People can’t go that fast. A voice calls over from the other side of the track, noticing the apparent time of 00:00 on the scoreboard. “Hisao, you dolt, you hit reset, not lap!” drawls out what could be a Californian surfer. Another voi...

My first thought after reading this was... Harvey Dent from the Dark Knight. Nananananananaa.... Batman! Your english for not being your first language is pretty good. It's a little start and stop in some places, but overall pretty good--you just want to make sure your sentences have a "cadence...

Ran into some trouble with my plans D: Had been doing Emi's '100 pushups challenge' up till W3D1, but I encountered quite some tense muscle strain on my left arm and thought it was wiser to stop >.<, was afraid I might tear something. Hey Lloonnee, i don't know about your musclar history, but if yo...

White Nights
You can’t eat your feelings, and gazing at the soggy lump of cafeteria curry bread in front of me, attempting to do so would probably be harmful to your health. I need to get away. I need to get away from her, I need to think of something else, anything but her, anything but now. It’s been two days ...

Re: Walking Forwards (tentative title)
With the letter now in a safer place, I placed the book somewhere where I can get at it a bit quicker the next time and let out a sigh of relief as I'd finally made amends for my actions during the week. Whew. There's a lot of angry stuff in this thread. I'm not the greatest writer around here, but...
