Re: Hanako's Broken Heart Club

I'm not sure if this would qualify exactly as a Broken Heart Club post, but I guess I'll post anyways. I'm really lost with my life right now. I don't feel a depression about it, it's just a sense of....well, confusion. I don't know, maybe I'm just lying to myself and this is a type of depression. I...

Re: Remove Adult Content?

Fahrenheit was a terrible, terrible game with atrocious sex scenes. Friends don't let friends play Fahrenheit. Pshaw, you're just jealous you didn't think of the "clever" plot device of Main Character Zombie Sex before they did. It's almost like you can pinpoint when that game starts to become a do...

Re: If you had a story Arc in KS...

Huh, interesting idea. I'll bite. Act 2: A Light Stroll Act 3: A Somber Path Act 4: An Arduous Journey I'll write this in the context of someone getting to know me, because I just feel too silly right now to write it from the viewpoint of someone trying to "romance" me or something. I guess it could...

Re: Recommend a VN

I just finished YMK, it was pretty good overall(I actually like Nekkoko's arc the best, even though no one else seems to share my opinion). I started playing Kira-Kira. Didn't get very far in, but I'm liking it so far. Seems pretty different so far, so that's always a good thing. One thing is though...

Re: Real Life KS-type Relationships

I will say, given that you like KS (and other anime I presume? maybe video games?) there is some lonely boy out there who would be absolutely thrilled to date you, and hopefully he would try to make you happy. From a male perspective, women who understand such nerdy pursuits are a rare and precious...

Re: If this entire board is Yamaku High...

Seeing as how I played football for all four years of my high school days, probably the track team. Well, that and I was 6'2, so much like my high school, I'm sure I would get badgered by everyone to "join a sports team!"

....that and I'm on Team Emi :3.

Re: How'd you find yourself here?

Judging by your avatar, can I assume that Persona 4, with its mild VN-style elements, was also a factor in your interest?... Whether it was or not, your avatar makes you cool in my book I suppose when I think about it, it sort of retroactively was. I mean, I enjoyed the social link aspect of the Pe...

Re: Yume Miru Kusuri

I'm just about to finish Nekkoko's arc, and have finished both Mizuki and Aeka's arcs. Here's my thoughts on the game so far. I understand that it's meant to be more light hearted when compared to something like KS. It's just that a combination of how unrealistic the game is (As has been stated befo...

EDIT: Wait scratch that, Heaven from Persona 4 might have SLIGHTLY more feels. Fact: I beat the Heaven stage in one day out of sheer determination not to leave Nanako alone. Tha...

Re: How'd you find yourself here?

Kind of an odd way I ended up here I suppose. I play a LOT of different video games, and I had never really tried out the whole VN genre. The first one I played was Tsukihime, and I really didn't like it so I stopped playing VNs for a while. A friend of mine told me I should watch Clannad, and decid...

Re: Why is Hisao so disliked?

I think Hisao gets a bad rap. He's not a shining example or anything, just kind of an average guy who makes stupid mistakes (like most of us do) I would say the main two reasons he gets unwarranted flak are the following: 1. All of the girls in this game have really great characteristics about them....

Re: Biggest bee with an itch ??

Probably the art teacher, just for the fact that he's completely full of shit. At least Jigoro is such an obvious asshole that he probably thinks of himself as being one too. The fact that the art teacher thought he was a great person because he pretty much convinced himself that he was looking out ...

Re: Games That Evoke So Much Emotions

I guess it's pretty rare that a video game can evoke a huge amount of emotion from me (outside of the norm), but here are some modern examples: Persona 3: The ending. By the time I played through this game, I became attached to all of crew in the game. It does a really great job of having you spend ...

Re: What does Katawa Shoujo mean to you?

This is going to be a long one, but hey this might one of the only few forums inhabited by people who type just as much as I do into a single post. For me, I guess the game represents hope. It's helping pull me out of a quarter life crisis that has struck me ever since I realized I will be done with...
