Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Beh. I hate protein shakes. I'd rather eat sour milk cheese than drink protein shakes and that tells a lot.

W2D3 finished. My shins are in pain
But they always are after a run, the next day the pain goes away.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Damn Finland's weather, it started snowing a week ago and the roads are still covered with ice. I'm sorry, but I don't want to break my leg while running. 1st week done, I'm sorry Emi. I'm still doing the push-up challenge tho. Is the snow already deep enough for backcountry/xc skiing? Go walrusfel...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I am an ass. On W2D2 now, had the routine memorised in a wrong way: 90 sec jog, 60 sec walk, and thought myself a loser because I only managed to do it half the time, the other half was 90 sec slow jog, 90 sec walk  But I am indeed heart constrained - 160 bpm while jogging like an old fart, huf...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
I don't lack motivation, I lack fitness and carry 30 kg too much (used to be 57 kg more, though, so I can't complain there). Also I am pissed off that all my cycling this year doesn't help much with running.

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Still, there is no need to drink when you're hydrated enough beforehand. If you're not interrupting the workout, then you sure are interrupting your digestive system. There is a widespread opinion among cyclists - don't know, how true it is, though - that you always should sip some water every now ...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
If you're going for a quick workout (e.g. 30 minutes) then you should try to drink enough water beforehand. Interrupting your workout to drink and then continuing on with a tired body is just a chore and will ultimately impact your results. no need to interrupt if you've got a small backpack with a...

Re: Recommend a VN
Kaho singing was a delight, especially because of the cute accent. Didn't like Kaori's part, though, but it is probably due to my aversion to tobacco smoke. The only part of it I liked was going to the movies, that nod to another VN did hit home a lot. Especially the "Today, I saw the ocean. I'...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Cycling uses both a bit different muscles and the same muscles in a different way. I can walk for 6 hours straight or cycle for 3 hours, but jogging kills me after a few minutes

Don't! Going heavier gears will hurt your knees. Use light gears but with high cadence.Gandara wrote:able to fight higher gears, etc.
