I do not think that it will ever happen, but if it did I'd be willing to give it all a try.

Any devkits/resourcing going to be released? Because with enough patience, a new team could write up a story and use the old stuff (giving credit where it's due of course) to make a brand new VN. Backgrounds seem easy enough to replicate since they are based off real location. No need for a dev kit...

I honestly do not remember any major changes that were noticable right away. But then again I played Act 1 when it first came out and never actually played it again untill the full version was released, so I may be remembering wrong.

You could always do what a bunch of us did and form/join a group of people who want to make something inspired by this.
