Possible, but you have to remember that her hair was drawn up in pigtails as well. It looks shorter when you do that because you have to pull it around your head (one) and then you tie it up closer to the top of your head (two) which causes it to look somewhat shorter. Well I tend to disagree --- hanako is my favourite character but I didn't find the necessity to make her the secret/true heroin or something similar

Went with Hanako just because I have fetish for long black haired girls, disfigured or not.
