Re: How Do I Delete ALL My Data?

It worked! Yay! Yay indeed. :D (Just be careful if you have more than one Ren'py powered game.) Thanks for taking the time to check back with a reply. Technical minded people can find dangling threads quite frustrating, so posting that it indeed worked is always a good thing. Oh, and I think you sh...

Re: How Do I Delete ALL My Data?

I did a system search, and my computer could not find anything by the name if renpy. Sorry. Don't be (sorry), it's me who couldn't provide specialized information after all. I tried searching the Ren'py forums, and this thread might be what you are looking for: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/view...

Re: How Do I Delete ALL My Data?

Hi, I don't have a mac, so I cannot give precise information, but I can probably point you in the right direction. Ren'py, the engine that Katawa Shoujo use stores user/player data in a directory separate from the install folder. On Windows it would look something like this: C:\Documents and Setting...

Re: Running in 64-bit Linux.

It comes with its own set of binaries, all 32-bit. I'm not sure it's realistic to try and replace them with 64-bit versions since I don't really know pygame internals. So without some serious effort, you either have a choice to use ia32-libs or install a 32 bit environment in qemu/virtualbox. Basic...

Re: The Hanako Thread - Spoilers, obviously

I like to imagine that when Hanako hesitantly mentions that she "likes computers," what she actually means is, "I edit Wikipedia articles about fashion, tropical aquarium fish, vegetarian cooking, and computer operating systems. I bought that penguin doll on my shelf because I've bee...

Re: If you *actually have* a physical disability, what is it

Compared to others, I consider myself lucky. The only serious "condition" I have is moderate myopia. My glasses currently are -6.0 / -6.5 dioptres, if memory serves me right, but I will have to go back to the optometrist to prescribe stronger glasses soon. (Since I have trouble reading the...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Soundtrack Up for Download

[Insane, inarticulate ramblings and empty demands] I don't fucking care what morons like you want. Touché This in itself worths the effort of developing a free game. (And there are many more I'm sure.) Just a note on future-proofing: You can freely "upscale" to a lossless format like FLAC...

Re: Ask!

And for the person that was asking about motivation for doing this, I would advise you to check out Flow by <A Russian name I can pronounce but have no hope of spelling>. It goes into the psychology of intrinsic motivation, which I think is the thing that helped everyone get through the project. I'...

http://ks.renai.us/download/file.php?avatar=6857_1325936349.jpg THIS is the epilogue I want. Still feel rather disappointed but eh... This is the epilogue you have then. I think this is the whole point, you can imagine it for yourself. Of course, I understand what you feel, a happy Hanako epilogue ...

Re: Screen tearing!

I thankfully didn't experience any such problems. Anyway, here are some general troubleshooting questions that might or might not be relevant. Does it happen in windowed or fullscreen mode? (Or both?) How old is your computer? (Of course, if this would be a perfomance issue, I'm sure the game would ...

Re: Online Japanese KS reception

Certainly if Japan released a dating sim called "Negro Girls" I would probably assume it's an offensive game. Oh, you will love this peculiar brand of candy we have here in Hungary. http://m.blog.hu/ga/galm/image/gp_IMG_9303.JPG http://www.fellowplaza.hu/files/products/images/big/01582_1....

you should do the others routes or at least in my opinion lilly's since it involves some Hanako's develop to. As well it really doesn't matter how fast we finish it as long as, like you said, savor the experience of the story. Oh, don't worry, I just said "I'm afraid", but of course I'm c...

I-I... have ... mixed feelings. *sob* But from the good kind. (WARNING: If I understand it correctly, I don't need to use SPOILER tags for the good ending of Hanako's route. If I'm wrong, please skip the post, and point it out to me, so I can revise it.) First of all, I would have liked to see more ...

Re: I just noticed

My mom tends to forget to take the key out of the door, so sometimes I can't get in, despite having a key myself. And since I usually don't have anything better to do, I sleep. In the doorframe. Well, yes, left-in keys can be quite a pain sometimes. I imagine most of the time you get home quite lat...
