If there were only gender-switching, new art accordingly and some minor changes in the scripts then it would be basically the same game. Who would want to play the same game again? I know I wouldn't. And as I read, altering the game is forbidden anyway. So why not make something fresh and creative?

New personalities and some new disabilities would be a must in my opinion. It could take place at the same school, maybe include some references/other stuff related to KS.
