Re: Katawa Shoujo Folding@Home Team

I just went and installed the nVidia-GPU version of F@H onto my Linux Desktop and joined the team. So far no idea how I'll see my own stats but I guess I'll get there in due time...

Re: RAITA

Does RAITA know his idea was made a reality? I second this back-of-the-mind question RAITA knows the game is being made. Do not know if he knows it was released. Some discussion on the issue a while back: http://ks.renai.us/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4568&p=62866 (includes a quote from cpl_crud for maxim...

Confronting a person about his disabilities

Since the forums have, lately, been rather substanceless and since I find myself in quite a pickle of a situation I thought I'd try to good old way of dealing with a problem: ask the Internet! Let me give you a quick base to build the following question on: I am a tutor at my university, so basicall...

Re: Oscar Pistorius – Can Emi into World Championship?

A true point. So basically he'd have a big advantage running a straight, long line with no elevation on it *grin* "That's what I'd call a niché!"

Re: Oscar Pistorius – Can Emi into World Championship?

Hmmh... I do think that it means that someone with leg blades would have an advantage on long to very long runs, for instance in a Marathon. (The study that originally was used to ban Pistorius from able-bodied WCs indicated that while running straight he uses approximately 25% less energy compared ...

Oscar Pistorius – Can Emi into World Championship?

Something that piqued my interest: it seems Emi could well be seen running in the World Championships this year, hopefully in the years to come too. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/athletics/14697896.stm Guy named Oscar Pistorius, born with defect legs, is running in the World Championship using bla...

Re: World's First Double-Leg Transplant

Now we just need to know the Misha disability to know if there's a cure for it. Damn you mysterious drill-haired devil woman! What we're facing here seems to be a peculiar case of Schrödinger's Misha's Disability. We won't know if the disability has been cured by modern science before the game is r...

I was just going to point out that suddenly Misha isn't chubby in the least bit, but Lollercost beat me to it.

Otherwise sounds :awsm: :)

Re: Tripping

Just for your reading pleasure here's another good place to read up on Proprioception Deficit Disorder. It actually resembles Mai's case so much that I was certain this was the place Mirage more or less "copied" Mai's character from. I'm surprised to find that that seems to not be the case. Anyhow, ...

I'm looking forward to an epilogue of the type: "And Kenji went on to become the most horrific Necromancer ever to walk upon the Earth. The first thing he did was to murder all of his friends in ways each more horrible than the previous. After that he set onto exterminating women except for an unluc...

Re: Finger Training

I may be a stick-in-the-mud mathematician, but I don't think there's really much "understanding" to Decartes. Well, of course you can run through the same trains of thought as he did and all that, read his works, try to find flaws in his reasoning or explore new depths of it but all in all it comes ...
