There was a project to adapt the scifi short story Dandelion Girl into a VN last year. DG was written 1961 and is an acclaimed story, one of the more famous short stories ever written. Hanako can't be a Fire-type, Fire-types are immune to burns ... What if she was an Eevee, got burnt, then evolved into a Flareon?
