Re: Is katawa Shoujo the gateway drug of visual novels?
I remember finding about KS (and the VN genre) from the kotaku article on 1st feb... I tried it out of curiosity and really liked it. Before this, I was a big fan of RPG's as they present you with choices that would accumulate over the course of the game and change the ending based on your actions i...

Re: Thank God for Hangovers
I think OC can share some of the writer's traits as it can make the process of writing easier i.e less likely to act out of character and would have a much easier time in character development.

Re: The future
Just steering the subject back to its origins here... I am just curious now... are there any drawings/concepts that you have from early development that made you guys think "Hmm, what a neat idea... we should look at this again after we finish KS" i.e any plot-arc or inspiring character th...

I think that also applies to the majority of us members/fans as well .Aura wrote:We are friends on the internet. Who we are outside of our KS dev work is none of your business.

Re: The future
Alright, then how about a different question... Do any of you plan ever revealing any personal info, like your name? (some of) Us fans/stalkers (mostly the stalkers... probably) may like to try and keep track of whatever you people's futures may hold, including but not limited to publishing a best-...

Re: The future
Separating the girls for a long period of time might be a very interesting experiment. Its an interesting idea, but it would be a pain in the neck for writers and potentially can result in way more waiting for us tho... Consider it as one of the lost opportunities or the path that never was... but ...

Re: Katawa Haha
I'm honestly surprised that no one was disappointed in my making Kenji a prominent feminist. I suppose I managed to hit it just right. atfirstIwaslikebutthenILOL'D.jpg was the reaction I was aiming for anyways. On a side note, flying to Korea this Friday. Unsure about Internet access. But expect th...

Re: The future
This is largely the reason we decided against shared scenes in the paths. There have been attempts, but they've all failed, mostly in the conceptual stages. Its a good thing that you guys are against shared scenes... I remember a VN I played some time ago called Family project... it had such potent...

Re: The future
You lost 50,000 words like that? I would cry, personally. But think about it... why would he drop 50,000 words out of the draft? There was probably something wrong with it that didn't register with cpl_crud's standards. Its one of the dilemmas of editing... and you just have to get rid of stuff to ...

Re: Destined Encounters
I figure that you guys have never been scouts, eh? Waking up at 2AM to do hard physical work isn't the worst thing, it's actually pretty nice to sweat while it's dark and cold. And no, the thing that would send him into cardiac arrest would be the Navy S.E.A.L. training program, not the time when t...

Re: Destined Encounters
Seriously saying, waking 2am in the morning and run should have caused him to have a heart attack... I kind of agree with this... 2 am is a little extreme, especially on a weekend. Maybe 6 am or later would have been ok... but still, I would imaging Emi is the most likely person to wake up anyone a...
